At first glance, it appeared to be a horrific kidnapping in the middle of a Los Angeles highway.
There were two men pointing a gun at another man whose hands were duct-taped together. They were all standing next to a black BMW in the San Gabriel Mountains.
But what could have been an extremely dangerous situation was actually just a shoot for a music video.
Now Los Angeles police are kindly asking residents to tell the police before they plan to stage a kidnapping.
Los Angeles County Police were called to the San Gabriel Mountains for a suspected kidnapping, only to find out it was actually three men shooting a music video
One man was using a real handgun and was charged with a misdemeanor for openly carrying an unloaded firearm in a vehicle
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department received a call on Wednesday from a witness who had spotted the three men on Highway 39.
Deputies quickly headed to the scene to conduct a 'high risk' traffic stop, detaining all three men.
That's when they found out the men were actually filming a music video - but using a real handgun.
One man at the scene was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor for openly carrying an unloaded firearm in a vehicle.
Sgt Michael McGrattan said the department had taken the situation seriously.
The officers took to Facebook asking residents to tell the police before they plan to stage a kidnapping
The witness who called the police saw two men pointing a gun at another man whose hands were duct-taped together. Pictured is the duct tape that was used
'Typically on a call like that, we would send multiple deputies,' he told the New York Times.
'That's actually a remote location up in the mountains. Up in the mountains there, we actually from time to time, we have bodies dumped, we have had shootings, we have had murders.'
The department took to Facebook to remind musicians to 'book a place to film your music video' and 'maybe advise the cops first'.
They also added a helpful list of things not to do if one were to film their music video up in the mountains.
Police also found a shovel inside the car, along with the real handgun as well as the duct tape
'Pretend to kidnap and duct tape your victim, victim pretending to break free and getting out of trunk, have a shovel, use a handgun,' were all on the list.
The post quickly attracted hundreds of likes and comments, including plenty of people who couldn't help but crack jokes about the situation.
'If part of the movie was getting busted, just use the actual police footage. Save a fortune renting cop cars,' one person helpfully advised.
'Will the deputies be paid scale for their participation in the video? Will they be in the credits?' another added.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
