«Breaking News» Rosie O'Donnell admits she 'lost it' at Barabra Walters and 'said some things she shouldn't have'

She previously spoke about her 2007 dust-up with The View creator, Barbara Walters. 

But things backstage appear to have been more dramatic than one had thought, with Rosie O'Donnell now giving more details in an excerpt from Ladies Who Punch: The Explosive Inside Story Of The View, by reporter Ramin Setoodeh. 

The feud began after the 57-year-old infamously impersonated Donald Trump on the show and accused him of filing for bankruptcy while Barbara was on vacation - leading to the now President firing back at the TV star.

Rosie reveals at the time (January 2007) she felt very betrayed that the 89-year-old didn't stand up for her as Trump continued to belittle and slam her in a very public way. 

According to the excerpt, the comedian 'lost it' and began to 'berate' the veteran host.  

'I definitely yelled,' Rosie admitted.

Tell-all: The admission appeared in reporter Ramin Setoodeh's new book about the explosive happenings on The View 

'I said how disappointed I was and how shocked and hurt I was that she wouldn't stand up for me. I felt very betrayed about her going behind my back and speaking to Donald Trump in Trumpian language,' she said.

Rosie continued: 'I said something about her daughter, which I should not have said. But I did.' 

It was also mentioned Rosie had said: 'No wonder Jackie can't stand you,' referring to Barbara's strained relationship with her daughter, Jacqueline Dena Guber, 50, who had run away at 15.

Back again: Rosie, who also had an on-air feud with co-star Elisabeth Hasselbeck, returned to The View in 2014 for a reunion special (L-R: Barabra Walters, Lisa Ling, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Rosie O'Donnell) 

Barbara fired back at the time: 'Do not speak about my daughter.' 

And while the backstage feud took place in early January, it wasn't until April 2007 that the ABC network announced Rosie's contract had not been renewed. 

Scheduled to appear on the Emmy winning show until June, her contract got cut short when she once again let loose in an explosive on-screen argument with co-star Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
