«Breaking News» Roseanne Barr accuses co-star Sara Gilbert of 'destroying her life'

Their show got cancelled less than an hour after Sara Gilbert tweeted to condemn Roseanne Barr's 'abhorrent' comments about Valerie Jarrett.

And not only does Roseanne, 66, blame her old co-star, 44, for the cancellation, but she claims Sara 'destroyed her life'.

Roseanne's eponymous character, which she played for 30 years, was killed off with an opioid overdose in the first episode of spin-off, The Connors last year.

She told The Washington Post this week: '[Sara] destroyed the show and my life with that tweet. 

'She will never get enough until she consumes my liver with a fine Chianti.'

However, Roseanne's counterpart appeared more forgiving when she responded to her former on-screen mother's comments.

She said: 'While I'm extremely disappointed and heartbroken over the dissolution of the original show, she will always be family, and I will always love Roseanne.'

Comedian Roseanne sparked controversy when she shared a racist tweet about former Obama administration official Valerie Jarrett. 

Sara was one of the first to condemn the message, writing on Twitter in May 2018: 'Roseanne’s recent comments about Valerie Jarrett, and so much more, are abhorrent and do not reflect the beliefs of our cast and crew or anyone associated with our show. I am disappointed in her actions to say the least. 

'This is incredibly sad and difficult for all of us, as we’ve created a show that we believe in, are proud of, and that audiences love— one that is separate and apart from the opinions and words of one cast member.' 

Was this to blame? Sara was one of the first to speak out against Roseanne. The show was cancelled within 30 minutes

The show was cancelled within 27 minutes of Sara's outraged  tweet. 

They subsequently announced plans to rebrand the show as spin-off The Conners, involving the original family minus Roseanne, which is in discussions for a second series.

Last November, Sara told Australia's TV Week magazine that her attempts to reach out to Roseanne had been rejected.  

Roseanne and Sara had played mother and daughter Roseanne and Darlene since 1988.

Sara starred on the show since the age of 11 and returned to it when the series was revamped with original castmembers John Goodman, Laurie Metcalf and Michael Fishman in 2018.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
