«Breaking News» Roger Stone invokes the Fifth Amendment with Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee

Longtime Donald Trump advisor Roger Stone is refusing to hand over documents to the House Judiciary Committee by citing his Fifth Amendment rights.

Stone has been indicted by a federal grand jury on charges of obstruction, making false statements, and witness tampering after a months-long investigation by Special Counsel Robert Mueller's prosecutors.

He was one of 81 individuals who got requests for information from the Democratic-controlled committee chaired by Rep. Jerold Nadler of New York.

Stone 'will not produce the documents requested,' his lawyer, Grant Smith, wrote the committee in a combative letter.

Longtime Trump advisor Roger Stone 'will not produce the documents requested' by the House Judiciary Committee his lawyer wrote

'Neither will Mr. Stone confirm for your Committee the existence of, or produce any documents requested, for the purpose of being used against him in anyway [stet] or to further the political agenda of people who want nothing more than to avenge the loss of their chosen candidate for president in 2016 by deposing the legally elected office holder,' Smith wrote.

The lawyer wrote it was not in Stone's 'best interests' to participate, and cited his Fifth Amendment rights.

The committee had sought information on 'obstruction of justice, corruption, and abuse of power' by Trump, as well as hush payments to women, WikiLeaks contacts, or deals with overseas entities.

'Since Stone testified before the House Intelligence Committee, 'Mr. Stone has become a defendant in a case brought by the government. As a current criminal defendant, with the presumption of innocence guaranteed to him, it is not in Mr. Stone's best interest to participate in any additional proceedings, outside those in federal court, until the charges are resolved,' Smith added.

'Mr. Stone respectfully declines to produce any documents, and declines any potential invitation for an interview which may follow,' Smith said.

The letter also cites his Fifth Amendment rights and warns of 'gossip and innuendo' surrounding Stone in the press. Stone, a political trickster who has advised Trump for decades, took time to create a web video of the proper attire for an indictment.

Stone's 'Fifth Amendment rights must be understood by all to be the assertion of a Constitutional right by an innocent citizen, who is currently defending his innocence, and one who denounces secrecy for the purposes of advancing innuendo,' he added.

Stone also put out his own response to the committee, posting a screen grab of an article saying he had just 'told Jerry Nadler to pound sand.'

'I declined to turn over documents or be interrogated by Jerry Nadler’s partisan fishing expedition against @realDonaldTrump . Help me resist - go to StoneDefenseFund.com,' Stone wrote, ending with #maga,' Trump's Make America Great Again slogan.

His refusal comes a day after news that Trump's longtime press secretary and former White House aide Hope Hicks will be cooperating with the Committee.

But WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange's lawyer told Fox News he had 'not yet responded to the Committee’s request,' blowing through a committee-set deadline.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
