Thirty-eight reality TV contestants are suspected to have taken their own lives since 1986, it has been revealed.
The worldwide total includes two Love Island stars, Sophie Gradon and Mike Thalassitis, who have died within the last nine months.
Love Island's bosses have vowed to overhaul their 'aftercare' policy as TV executives face scrutiny over the support given to their stars.
The shocking toll of feared suicides, compiled by The Sun on Sunday, includes TV stars from Britain, America, France, Australia and India among others.
Former Love Island stars Mike Thalassitis, left, and Sophie Gradon, right, have both ended their own lives within the last year
Thalassitis, 26, a semi-professional footballer, was found dead in north London on March 16.
Sophie Gradon, 32, appeared on season two of the reality show in 2016 and was found dead in June last year.
Following their deaths, Love Island producers said 'bespoke training' will be offered to all future contestants.
The show said it will also offer support to all Love Island contestants rather than just those who ask for it.
The care will focus on helping contestants with social media and financial management after achieving overnight fame on Love Island, which has become a cultural phenomenon attracting millions of voters each season.
UK Health Secretary Matt Hancock said he was 'very worried about the support for mental health' for reality TV stars.
'The sudden exposure to massive fame, I suppose, can have significant impacts on people and I think that it is a duty on any organisation that is putting people in the position of making them famous overnight, that they should also look after them afterwards,' Mr Hancock said.
'I think that people need to take responsibility for their duties to people's well being very seriously.'

Love Island’s bosses have vowed to overhaul ...
It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
