Odds are if you work in an office you'll have had an item of food go missing from the communal fridge at some stage during your career.
But one pregnant woman, believed to be from the US, has told how she reached breaking point after her lunch started going missing on a daily basis.
Eventually the thief was caught after she begged management to install cameras - and it turned out to be a middle-aged female employee on three times her salary who was in line for a promotion.
But instead of stepping up, she ended up being shown the door after her brazen thieving was exposed.
Taking to the Reddit thread Am I the A**hole, the mother-to-be explained how her husband is a chef and makes her lunch every day.

'I need to eat well because I’m naturally thin/underweight, I’m still breastfeeding my toddler, and I am pregnant,' she wrote.
When her lunch started getting stolen, she began labeling it in the hope it would deter the thief - to no avail.
She went on: 'Eventually I put a note on the fridge that said: "Please stop taking my food. I am pregnant and breastfeeding and this is negatively affecting my health."'
When that failed, the woman sent an email to the entire office asking whoever was taking her food to talk to her privately as her husband would make them lunch too, provided they pay for the meal.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, several people took her up on her husband's generous offer, and she ended up making a side business out of it. However, the thief remained silent and continued to nick her lunch.
'My lunches are always in specific bowls, unlike the lunches others had from my husband, in disposable containers,' she said.
The mother-to-be shared her story on the Reddit thread AmItheA**hole asking if she was in the wrong for getting her thieving colleague fired
'I still brought food in my own containers because I don’t heat up food in plastic.'
Fed up, the mum-to-be asked management to install cameras, which the IT team agreed to do using some of their own equipment from home.
Shockingly, the thief was exposed as an employee working at executive level who was up for a promotion.
'She is making triple what I am making, if not more,' the mum-to-be wrote, admitting the thief 'doesn't seem to like her'.
She asked the IT guys to send her screen grabs of the thief in action, before picking the perfect moment to expose her outrageous habit.

'Lunch Thief was up for a promotion,' the pregnant woman explained.
'She’s near the executive level, and once you get this high up, the interviews involve execs from headquarters flying down to meet up with the execs in our office to sit in on presentations from the interviewees.
'I sit in on these interviews to take minutes and flip through the presenters’ slides for them. Lunch Thief was up.
'After she finished and was doing a Q&A, I put an image up on the screen. It was the pics of her stealing my food. People in the room started chuckling, and she turned back to look at the screen in horror.
'The execs at my office who knew my lunches were getting stolen were visibly p***** at her. As (it) turns out, one of the execs who'd come from headquarters was also pregnant, and other one had a wife who'd just had a baby.
'She was terminated.'
The pregnant woman admitted it hadn't been her intention to get her sacked - she just wanted her to stop stealing.
'If they’d ever talked to me, I wouldn’t have wanted to get her fired,' she said.
'Aside from seeing the picture in the interview, they never involved me further. Never even asked me to send them the picture evidence for their own record.'
She asked the Reddit community whether she was the 'a**hole' in the situation, but people were overwhelmingly on her side.
One user commented: 'You didn't get her fired. She got herself fired by being a thief despite many opportunities to stop and not get punished.'
'Regardless of impact to health, someone stealing at work should be fired. You shouldn’t ever have to worry about getting your s*** stolen from a coworker!' wrote another.
And one suggested: 'It reads as if she did this for spite, not negligence or laziness like not replacing printer paper or water in a jug. It would be more like printing out something, then taking the ink with you, or drinking from the jug then pouring the rest out.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
