«Breaking News» Lawyer claims mob boss murder suspect was influenced by right-wing websites

The 24-year-old man accused of killing a reputed New York mob boss had recently been influenced by right-wing conspiracy websites, his lawyer claims.

Anthony Comello has been accused of killing Gambino mob boss Franceso 'Franky Boy' Cali.

He was officially charged on Monday with murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon for a loaded firearm.

Comello has been ordered to be held without bail and is being kept in protective custody due to serious threats to his life in prison.

He is expected to plead not guilty when he is formally indicted on April 3.

For his first court appearance last week, Comello had scribbled 'MAGA Forever', a reference to Donald Trump's 'Make America Great Again' slogan, on his hand.

He also had scrawled 'United We Stand MAGA' and 'Patriots In Charge', seeming to indicate he was influenced by QAnon - a discredited far-right conspiracy theory alleging a secret plot by so-called 'deep state' operatives against Trump and his supporters.

During Monday's hearing, attorney Robert Gottlieb said Comello's family attributes his behavior changes to 'hate spewed throughout the internet'.

'His family and friends recognized and picked up significant changes in him over the past few months,' Gottlieb told the New York Post

'Something clearly went wrong. It's not just an attorney saying that, the people who know him - who love him - will be the source of that information.'

'Something dramatically happened to him that certainly seems to have been affected by the hate that is spewed throughout the internet.'

Last week it was revealed that Comello had a secret Instagram account on which he posted extreme right-wing messages and memes.

One Instagram post included the Reichsadler, or 'imperial eagle,' which was used during the Nazi period.

The post reads: 'Infidel of freedom, infidels of the free world...Dems=demons go down on all counts.'

Another post showed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi wearing a symbol that supposedly represents 'evil fascism.'

There are also truther conspiracy theories which allege that the September 11, 2001 attacks were orchestrated by the Bush administration.

Another Instagram post depicts Michelle Obama, the former first lady, as a man dancing with 'wife,' Barack Obama, whose head is photoshopped onto her body.

One meme shows a group of prominent Democrats, including Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, James Comey, Eric Holder, and others in jail for 'treason' since 'Russia collusion is a proven lie.'

Comello first drew the attention of police after he bizarrely tried to make a 'citizen's arrest' of prominent Democratic figures including Pelosi, New York Mayor Bill de Blasio, Rep Adam Schiff, and Rep Maxine Waters.

'There was an incident at the federal courthouse in lower Manhattan where he showed up [on February 21] asking to make a citizen's arrest of a number of elected officials,' NYPD Deputy Commissioner John Miller told the Post.

Miller said that Comello 'blamed Nancy Pelosi and all kinds of other people for stealing the election'.

The day after he showed up at the courthouse, Miller said Comello went to Gracie Mansion, the mayor's official residence in Manhattan, in an attempt to arrest de Blasio.

Friends told the New York Times that Comello believed in far-right wing conspiracy theories and had an OxyContin habit that made him aggressive when he was high.

Sources have said that Comello killed Cali, 53, because the mob boss said the 24-year-old wasn't good enough to date his niece.

Comello allegedly drove to Cali's Staten Island home on March 13 and backed his pickup truck into the mobster's Cadillac Escalade, knocking off the license plate.

Surveillance footage captured Comello ringing Cali's doorbell. The two walked outside and Comello picked up the license plate to give it to Cali.

He then allegedly pulled out a pistol and shot Cali 10 times before fleeing the scene. Authorities said they found Comello's fingerprints on the license plate.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
