«Breaking News» Kaia Gerber looks sophisticated as she steps out in Paris during Fashion Week

She's currently owning the runway after several high-profile appearances during Paris Fashion Week.

And Kaia Gerber proved she's just as successful off the catwalk as she cut a sophisticated figure while out and about in Paris, France on Sunday.

The chic model, 17, was snapped on the streets of the French capital wearing a smart black leather blazer-style jacket.

She teamed her outerwear with a black roll neck jumper and striking navy and red pinstriped cropped trousers. 

Kaia, daughter of supermodel Cindy Crawford, 53, added black lace-up boots, a black shoulder bag and a pair of quirky red tinted sunglasses to her chic ensemble.

Keeping things simple, the star opted to go make-up free for her outing, while her brunette tresses were left to tumble over her shoulders. 

The bookworm was also seen clutching a book called Just Kids by American singer Patti Smith, which documents her relationship with artist Robert Mapplethorpe. 

Kaia's outing comes a day after she was seen rocking a more casual ensemble as she headeed out between shows at fashion week.

The teen showcased her flair for fashion in a retro look, donning a cream knit and a pair of faded blue boyfriend jeans.

She completed her look with a pair of lace-up white boots and carried her essentials in a cross-body purse.

Once again showed off her love of literature, this time reading While the Women Are Sleeping, haunting short stories by Spanish author Javier Maríasn.

The star's day out comes after her mother Cindy hit back at claims her teen daughter's success is down to nepotism.

The veteran supermodel has enjoyed a 30-year career in the industry and is happily married to her husband of 21 years, Rande Gerber, with whom she raises Kaia and Presley, 21.

Cindy says that while her fame has surely given Kaia 'some advantages,' it hasn't opened as many doors as people might think. 

She told NET-A-PORTER’s PorterEdit: 'Kaia had some advantages. She is my daughter and people know that.

'But when people say that I bought her a cover of a magazine, I think, if I was going to buy a cover for someone, it would be me!

'If I could get someone into a fashion show, I would be getting it for myself.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
