«Breaking News» James Argent admits it was 'pot, kettle, black' of him to 'fat-shame' Gemma Collins

James 'Arg' Argent has admitted it was a case of the pot calling the kettle black when he took to Instagram to 'fat-shame' his girlfriend Gemma Collins last week.

Speaking to the new issue of OK! Magazine, Arg attempted to explain the circumstances, which saw him upload a video of Gemma snoring to social media.

This resulted in a war of words and Gemma, 38, kicking him out of their home, claiming that they were finished.

'I deeply regret what I said but Gemma gave as good as she got, we both said some very nasty, hurtful things to each other.' Arg, 31, told the publication. 

'I actually thought she looked really cute [in the snoring video] and assumed she'd see the funny side!

‘I’m ashamed of what I said to Gemma – I love her with all my heart. I have problems with my own weight so I'm the last person who should be trying to fat-shame.

'It's a bit pot, kettle, black as Gemma lost two stone doing Dancing on Ice so I actually weigh more than she does now.'

Out of order: The furore surrounding the duo kicked off last month after Gemma dumped him for posting an embarrassing video of her snoring online, which he swiftly deleted

Shedding light on what happened next, Arg went on: 'I tried to talk to her but she was so angry that she wasn’t having any of it, she told me it was over and kicked me out.'

Arg concluded: 'I want to spend my life with Gemma and I want us to have kids, but for that to happen we need to change the way we can be with each other.

'We haven’t spoken about it but I think it would be good for us to have some couples counselling if we do get back together.'

Arg was accused of sending a string of abusive texts in the wake of the break-up to Gemma, saying she has 'more rolls than Greggs'.

He was also accused of calling his ex 'an embarrassment' and 'a fat horrible lump' in a series of abusive messages seen by The Sun.

According to the publication, the messages said: 'You are a fat joke of a woman. An absolute car crash! You're nearly 40 f***ing years old, you embarrassment.'

In another, he said: 'You fat horrible lump. Nasty mean woman. Who the f*** do you think you are? You've got more rolls than Greggs.'

The source went on to suggest that Arg had turned 'nasty' after Gemma's profile soared on ITV's Dancing On Ice because he 'couldn't handle her fame'.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
