Allen Pearson, 39, has been sentenced to two years in prison for driving his car into three people standing outside a restaurant in Bridgeport, Connecticut, last May
A Connecticut man who pinned twin eight-year-old boys and a woman who tried to protect them against a wall with his car has been sentenced to two years in prison.
Allen Pearson, 39, was convicted of second-degree assault after police say he drove directly into the boys who were standing outside of a restaurant in Bridgeport on May 31, 2018.
Shanta Jordan, 32, saw the car barreling toward the children and leaped in front of it in an attempt to shield them.
Shocking video shows the moment the car struck all three pedestrians, fracturing Jordan's hip. One of the boys suffered fractured legs and a broken shoulder and his brother suffered scrapes and bruises.
Investigators did not perform any tests to determine whether Pearson was under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

The Connecticut Post reported that at his sentencing Tuesday afternoon, Pearson told a judge: 'I'm remorseful and I'm sorry.'
Superior Court Judge Frank Iannotti responded: 'You don’t seem like a bad guy, but sometimes people who are not bad people do bad things.'
Iannotti expressed concern over the fact that Pearson was arrested twice while the assault case was pending.
One day after the crash, Stamford say they found the hallucinogenic drug PCP on his person and he was charged with possession with intent to sell.
The second arrest for was allegedly choking his girlfriend.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
