«Breaking News» Danny Boyle reveals the real reason he quit as director of Bond 25

Danny Boyle has confirmed he has quit as the director of the new James Bond film after clashing with producers over the script.

The 62-year-old reportedly wanted to kill off the iconic secret agent in a 'spectacular finale' for Bond 25.

But Danny divulged bosses weren't happy with the screenplay he had been working on with John Hodge and expressed his sadness because it 'could have been really good'.

Confirming his departure, he wrote in Empire magazine: 'I work in partnership with writers and I am not prepared to break it up.

'We were working very, very well, but they didn’t want to go down that route with us so we decided to part company.

'What John Hodge and I were doing, I thought, was really good. It wasn’t finished, but it could have been really good you have to believe in your process and part of that is the partnership I have with a writer.'

He added: 'It's a great shame.'

While Danny didn't explicitly say his reasons behind the dispute- out of respect for new director Cary Fukunaga- sources say he quit because he wasn't allowed to kill Bond off.

The filmmaker is said to have wanted 007 to die in the arms of returning Bond girl Lea Seydoux in the 25th Bond film, which is thought to have the working title of Shatterhand.

A source previously told the Daily Star: 'Boyle thought that killing 007 would be a brilliant way to pave to introduce a new Bond.'

However, they allege that Bond producer Barbara Broccoli ad actor Daniel Craig were not impressed with the idea.

They said: 'When the dust settled there was push back from Barbara and Daniel.

'The feeling was that the audience should be left guessing as to the plight of their man.'

Also slated to star in the upcoming blockbuster are Naomie Harris as Eve Moneypenny and Ralph Feinnes as M.

Fresh from his Oscar win for Best Leading Actor for Bohemian Rhapsody, Rami Malek is said to be in talks with bosses about playing a villain in the film.

According to the Mail on Sunday, Daniel, 51, plans to flaunt his greying hair in his final outing as the spy legend.

The actor begins filming his fifth Bond blockbuster this month and will shun dye to show off his salt-and-pepper patches so he appears 'world-weary and mature', according to the newspaper.

Daniel, whose four Bond movies have raked in a total of £3 billion at the box office, famously bleached his hair for desert scenes in Quantum Of Solace, but had darker locks in movie promotional shots.

In Spectre, his last 007 movie in 2015, he showed off a variety of shades.

The actor had his first outing as 007 in Casino Royale in 2006 and has previously spoken of his desire to leave the franchise behind.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
