«Breaking News» Dairy-substitute firm issues urgent recall for Oat Drink Whole

A broken machine has left Oatly drinkers at risk of swallowing metal pieces. 

Oatly UK Limited has recalled its chilled Oat Drink Whole after a machine part broke during production.

It is feared metal could have been accidentally distributed in the drink and all one litre cartons with the expiration date April 29, 2019, should be returned for a refund.

Recall notices have been placed in shops that sell Oatly products to warn customers to bring the product back for a refund

The Food Standards Agency issued a food alert warning anyone who bought this drink to return it as 'the presence of metal makes this product unsafe to drink'.

The agency said: 'If you have bought any of the above product do not drink it. Instead, return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.'

And recall notices have been placed in shops that sell Oatly products to warn customers to bring the product back for a refund. 

It reads: 'As a precaution we're doing a recall of an isolated batch of Oatly chilled Oat Drink whole that might contain metal pieces from a broken machine part. 

'The risk is very small, but we always put safety first and want to make sure we eliminate any risk. 

'The batch affected has a best before date of 29.04.19. Return product to store for refund.'

The potentially contaminated cartons are isolated to a specific Tesco depot and has affected 38 cases and 228 cartons. 

An Oatly spokesman said: 'As a precaution we're doing a recall of an isolated batch of Oatly chilled Oat drink whole that can potentially contain pieces from damaged equipment. 

'The risk is very small, however we always put safety first and want to make sure we eliminate any risk.

'The issue has been isolated to 38 cases (228 consumer units) and a specific Tesco depot. No further stock impacted on the affected production line, or any of our other products. However, Tesco’s protocol is to do a nationwide recall of the whole concerned batch.

'The batch affected has a best before date of 29.04.19 and has only been sold at Tesco stores between March 15 and March 22. 

'If anyone has bought a chilled Oat drink whole with this best before date at Tesco between these dates, they should bring the carton to Tesco to get a refund. Otherwise it’s perfectly safe to enjoy our Oat drinks.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
