But despite putting on a stellar performance, Faye Brookes was reportedly mocked by her fellow cast members after she re-tweeted several Instagram posts praising her portrayal of Kate Connor.
A source revealed to The Sun that some stars of the ITV soap have been disgruntled by the 31-year-old's behaviour, with some criticising her for 'self-glorification'.

Insiders told the publication: 'A few eyebrows have been raised among the more level-headed members of the cast, that’s for sure...
'A few people are scratching their heads about why Faye is milking the limelight so much. In fact, she’s creating her own publicity...
'At the end of the day she was doing her job, like any of the cast. It’s what they do day in day out. All these posts she’s putting up from fans about how great she is are just self-glorification.'
MailOnline has contacted representatives for Faye for comment. Coronation Street representatives for Coronation Street declined to comment.

On Wednesday, Faye headed out to a celebratory dinner at STK London with fiancé Gareth Gates, who wasted no time in heaping praise on his other half.
He wrote: 'Thank you @stk.london for the most amazing evening with my lady @faye_brookes - celebrating her incredible episode of @coronationstreet this evening. So proud of you baby x (sic)'
However, even this raised eyebrows amongst her fellow thespians, with the source continuing: 'People could understand if she was a kid but she’s 31 and needs to tone down the back slapping...

Wednesday night's emotional episode of the soap saw Rana, played by Bhavna Limbacia, crushed in the Underworld roof collapse, and eventually die in Faye's character Kate's arms.
The incident happened as she headed back to the factory to retrieve their wedding rings as Kate patiently waited at the alter for her bride-to-be.

It was then revealed that Rana was trapped under the rubble, and made a desperate phonecall to Kate for help.
While paramedics managed to reach Rana, she asked doctor Ali to break the news to Kate that she might not survive.
After Kate wept at the chance she may never see her wife-to-be again, she decided to try and save her and ran into the factory.
In scenes that left viewers highly emotional, Kate and Rana recited their wedding vows to each other and exchanged rings, and the nurse then suddenly passed away.

Meanwhile, Kate's fiance Gareth was slammed for revealing Rana's fate before it aired onscreen.
The singer took to social media at 8.42pm on Wednesday night to share his sadness about Bhavna leaving the soap, however, he gave the game after as Rana didn't die until shortly before 9pm.
Despite Gareth's huge blunder, several watchers were quick to praise the episode, with the heart-wrenching scenes leaving many on the brink of tears.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
