Pete Wicks enjoyed a blast from the past on Wednesday's edition of Celebs Go Dating, after he was set up with a blind date he knew ten years ago.

At the start of the show, the TOWIE star, 30, was reprimanded by agents Anna Williamson and Paul Carrick Brunson, as they said they were 'disappointed' in him for kissing his last date when he wasn't interested in her.

Shocked by their response, Pete said: 'That is the worst thing, i hate people telling me they're disappointed in me.'

After a rather amicable phone call with the person he kissed where he explained he didn't want to see her again, Pete discovered he was in for a mystery date.

But, despite his initial reservations, the reality star was in for a nice surprise, as he had dinner with Events Manager Katie, who he already knew.

In the confessional, Pete quipped: 'You're having a laugh aren't ya, I used to mess about with her ten years ago.'

He then told his date, 'Well this is weird, they didn't tell me nothing. Turned out to be a really good surprise.

'Of all the people. Well, we never got to go on a date, here's to old friends and the one that got away,' he added, suavely.

Even though ten years had passed between them, the pair got along really well with Katie matching Pete's banter throughout the night.

Keen to speak candidly about his past, Pete told her things had 'gone back to being how it was ten years ago.'

Lamenting his 'serial dater' lifestyle, he added: 'It's not worked out too well, that's why I joined the agency to find the one.' 

The pair quickly began flirting, despite Pete's confession, as Katie joked that she wanted a 'tall, dark, handsome, cheeky' guy, but said Pete only had 'three of them' because he wasn't tall.

Fans were divided over Pete's date, with some gushing over his chat-up lines, and others saying that their meeting was a 'mega coincidence'.

One wrote: 'Pete Wicks could chat up a brick wall he's such a charmer.'

While another user admitted: 'Didn't think I'd like Pete at the start but he's actually really grown on me.'

Taking on a more 'cynical' approach, one said: 'Cynical, I know, but something ain't quite right about the Katie/Pete MEGA coincidence.'

Later on, the TOWIE star told her: 'Genuinely you haven't changed, ten years, you haven changed you look as beautiful when you were 20.'

As they talked about their hopes for marriage in the future, he said: 'I'm not good at talking about my feelings, but I do want it but I've never met anyone that's given me that. I genuinely feel like people can't get that.' 

And after joking about Katie's 'wrist action' when she poured them both a glass of wine, Pete admitted that he would happily go on a second date with her.

So happy with how their date went, Pete immediately went in for a kiss with Katie as they left the restaurant.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
