A California avocado producer has issued a recall of its products in six states after a recent batch tested positive for listeria.

Henry Avocado Corporation ordered recalls in California, Florida, North Carolina, Wisconsin, New Hampshire, and Arizona on Saturday.

In a press release on the matter, the company said environmental samples at it's Escondido, California packing facility recently tested positive for listeria monocytogenes, a bacteria that can cause serious and potentially fatal infections in the elderly, young children, and other individuals with weakened immune systems.

Henry Avocado emphasized that no associated illnesses have been reported, noting that the recall was both voluntary and precautionary.

Listeria is a bacteria that can cause serious and occasionally fatal infections in young children, the elderly, and others with weak immune systems

'Henry Avocado is issuing this voluntary recall out of an abundance of caution due to positive test results on environmental samples taken during a routine government inspection at its California packing facility,' the company said in its written statement.

'All affected customers are being contacted to confirm that the recalled products are immediately removed from store shelves.'

In addition to harming those with weakened immune systems, listeria can also cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.

The company said its recalled products can be identified by their 'Bravocado' stickers, noting that its organic avocados have a different sticker and can also be identified by the barcode on the sticker.

Henry Avocado said there haven't been any associated illnesses reported

It advised consumers who have purchased any recalled avocados to throw them away or return them to where they were bought to receive a full refund.

Symptoms for listeria infection include nausea, abdominal pain, diarrhea, fever, severe headache, and stiffness.

The Center For Disease Control says anyone suffering from these symptoms who believes they have eaten food contaminated with listeria should seek medical care and tell the doctor about what they ate.

'This is especially important if you are pregnant, age 65 or older, or have a weakened immune system,' the CDC notes on its website.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy.
