A strongly-worded letter has now been sent from Church of Scientology International to A&E Networks Group pinning blame on the company's show 'Scientology: The Aftermath' for the young man's death.
The church also attached blame to the shows co-hosts - Australian Mike Rinder and Hollywood actress Leah Remini.
The church in the letter claims the alleged attacker in north Sydney was 'inspired by an anti-Scientology website that featured your people and included a link to Remini's show'.
The letter dated January 11 comes after it was reported by The Daily Telegraph the boy wanted to save his Scientologist mother from a purification process that purported to cleanse the body of toxins.
The program would have also meant the boy's mother would have distanced herself from her family, according to Channel 7.
Written by Karin Pouw, an American official for the church, the letter obtained by Channel 7 accused the show's co-hosts of creating hatred against the religion.
'Week after week, month after month, and now year after year this series has poisoned the airwaves in an avowed effort to create hatred against the Scientology religion,' it reads.

'Hatred and propaganda always find their mark, and now it has born strange and bitter fruit.'
Speaking to Channel 7 in order to respond to the church's allegations, Mr Rinder said the letter was a blame-shifting tactic from the religion.
He said: 'They basically seek to shift the blame to our show for their abuses. The statement that this is all caused by A&E and our show because someone apparently looked at a website that mentioned our show - that's absurd.'

In season 3 of the show, Ms Remini and Mr Rinder have highlighted alleged abuses in the church.
But the letter signed off by Ms Pouw accused the program of inciting 'six hundred threats of violence, caused by your programming, (that meant nothing to you'.
Daily Mail Australia has contacted A&E Networks, Leah Remini, Mike Rinder and the Church of Scientology for comment.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
