«Breaking News» Anne Hathaway CONFIRMS she and Julie Andrews want to do a The Princess Diaries 3

It's one of the most popular movies from the early noughties as it follows teenager Mia Thermopolis discover she's a real-life princess.

And Anne Hathaway has confirmed that both she and Julie Andrews want to do a The Princess Diaries 3 and that there's even a script.

The Oscar-winning actress, 36, admitted that she and The Sound of Music legend, 83, are 'working on it.

Speaking on Andy Cohen's Watch What Happens Live, Anne said: 'There is a script for the third movie. There is a script. I want to do it. Julie [Andrews] wants to do it. Debra Martin Chase, our producer, wants to do it. We all really want it to happen.

'It’s just we don’t want to unless it’s perfect because we love it just as much as you guys love it. 

'It’s as important to us as it is to you, and we don’t want to deliver anything until it’s ready, but we’re working on it.'

This isn't the first time the third instalment of the popular movie has been talked about and in 2016 Julie Andrews spoke about how the potential film would honour the original director Garry Marshall. 

Gary died in July 2016 aged 81, he also directed Pretty Woman, The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement and Valentine's Day.

Speaking to BuzzFeed after the director passed away, Julie said: 'There’s talk about it. And [Hathaway]’s very keen to do it. I would very willingly and happily do it.

The Princess Diaries follows San Francisco teenager Mia Thermopolis, played by Anne, as her life is tipped upside down upon discovering she is a real-life princess.

The news is delivered to her from her grandmother, Clarisse Renaldi, Queen of Genovia, played by Julie, who insists she undergo 'princess lessons' as she is heir to the throne.

The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement looks at Mia adjust to life as a princess in Genovia with her best friend Lilly, played by Heather Matarazzo. 

However, she soon discovers that she can't be the Queen unless she gets married within 30 days, which gets the attention of Nicholas Devereaux, played by Chris Pine, who pursues her for the crown but then realises he's actually in love.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
