The United States military says it has killed 24 al-Shabab extremists with an airstrike in Somalia.
An airstrike was carried out on Wednesday by an extremist camp near Shebeeley in the central Hiran region north of the capital, Mogadishu, according to the US Africa Command.
No civilians were killed or injured, according to the statement.
The attack comes nearly two weeks after the US said it had killed 52 al-Shabab extremists near Jilib in Somalia's Middle Juba region.

Somali forces had come under attack by a 'large group' of the al-Qaida-linked extremists, according to the command.
A Somali intelligence officer said the extremist group had been amassing some 400 fighters for more than a week to launch a major attack against Somali and Kenyan forces in order to disrupt a planned offensive.
Al-Shabab controls large parts of rural southern and central Somalia and continues to carry out high-profile attacks in Mogadishu and elsewhere, often with suicide bombings.
It has claimed responsibility for the deadly attack on a luxury hotel complex in Nairobi, Kenya's capital, on January 15.
Twenty-one people were killed and more than 700 were rescued during the siege.
The group said the attack was in response to President Donald Trump's decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

Among the victims were 16 Kenyans, a British national, and American businessman Jason Spindler, who had survived the September 11, 2011 terrorist attack.
Spindler, 40, was late to report for work at the 7 World Trader Center in Manhattan when the Twin Towers were both hit by hijacked planes. He was just getting off the subway when the first tower fell.

The United States has dramatically stepped up airstrikes against al-Shabab in Somalia, carrying out at least 47 such strikes last year.
Some have targeted top al-Shabab leaders or key financial officials, as the extremist group funds its attacks with an extensive network of 'taxation' and extortion.
In October, the US said an airstrike killed about 60 fighters near the al-Shabab-controlled community of Harardere in Mudug province in the central part of the country.
Airstrikes are meant to support Somali forces as they increase pressure on al-Shabab and its recruiting efforts in the region, especially in southern and central Somalia, the US said in a statement.
Al-Shabab - via its Shahada news agency - asserted that its attack on two Somali army bases killed at least 41 soldiers.
It described the location as the Bar Sanjuni area near the port city of Kismayo.
Matt Bryden, an expert on the extremist group, said the airstrikes have hampered al-Shabab but not 'seriously degrated' its capability to continue striking 'inside or outside Somalia'.
Airstrikes alone cannot defeat the extremists and must be combined with more ground-based attacks as well as a non-military campaign to win over residents of extremist-held areas, he added.
The US said it is committed to 'preventing al-Shabab from taking advantage of safe havens from which they can build capacity and attack the people of Somalia'.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
