Indeed the movie director, received lots of understanding reactions from fellow parents and words of assurance that things do get better.

He first posted: 'I have 2 kids. 2 1/2 years & 9 months old [a son and daughter] respectively.

'I’ll tell you something I never see anyone admit... they are exhausting, frustrating & life-destabilizing. They are rarely fun.

'Sure, smiles are great, hugs are lovely, but it’s HARD & not obviously a good choice in life. This is where people feel compelled to say “i wouldn’t change it for the world!”'

Taking sides: Writer Caitlyn Moran agreed with the post wholeheartedly and when a follower called both her and Duncan 'a**holes', she wrote back: 'Your mum'

He continued: 'But you know... Of course I’d reconsider! It’s exhausting! Its banal! It’s like looking after a dog you can’t house train. What it is, is that it is. & they are mine. Hopefully they turn out ok.'

A follower replied: 'Sir, do you not know where babies come from?'

Duncan playfully replied: 'Hell!'

Duncan is estranged from his mother Angie, (David's first wife), but remains close to his stepmother, Iman.

He married his beautiful wife Rodene back in November 2012. They welcomed their first child, Stenton David Jones, exactly six months after David's death from cancer.

Duncan announced the news on Twitter at the time, writing: 'Stenton David Jones. Born July 10th, exactly six months after his grandad made room for him.

'Love you both so.'

Duncan and Rodene named their daughter Zowie, in tribute to his father, who named him Zowie Bowie when he was a child. He later changed his name.

In a tweet posted on Christmas Eve, Duncan, shared his daughter’s name for the first time in an emotional tweet, in which he referenced his famous father.

He said: 'Got a bit emotional while wrapping tonight. Didn’t occur to me till tonight that when i named my daughter Zowie i would eventually be writing, “To Zowie, from Dad,” exactly like my dad did for me when i was little. Ghosts of Christmas past.'

Going for it: Duncan joked that children come from 'hell' in the playful tirade

He liked a comment from another followers which acknowledged it was possible to dislike parenting but still love your child immensely.

In full, it read: 'It's so weird how we conflate disliking parenting with not-loving the child.

We understand why adult children struggle with caring for an elderly parent, and the complex feelings that arise. We don’t question their love.

Why do we question it when the situation is reversed?'

Duncan also liked a post which read: 'A friend told us (when we had our 2nd boy), “Aren’t kids the best AND absolute worst thing you can do yourselves?!”'

Caitlyn Moran waded in and said: 'Every night until they were six and four, I'd sit on their beds, reading a goodnight story, thinking, "I'm really not enjoying this."

'Then they start making their own breakfasts and the magic begins.'

Not everyone was down with what Duncan and Caitlyn were saying: 'One person wrote: 'You too are a pair of a**holes.'

Caitlyn shot them down with: 'Your mum.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
