Reunion: The Our Girl star, 31, who spent much of 2018 filming in South Africa and Malaysia, said a holiday was the perfect way to relax and recharge following months apart
She said: 'As soon as I have time off I want to be with him. For Christmas and New Year I had a really good break from work to recharge.
'Mark and I spent time with both our families.
She added: 'I usually always love going somewhere hot on holiday but this time round it is really hard to choose a destination as one of the things I love most is exploring somewhere new.'
The pair tied the knot in May 2015, having first met in Dubai in 2012.
Together since 2012: She said: 'As soon as I have time off I want to be with him. For Christmas and New Year I had a really good break from work to recharge'
Mark recently denied claims he quit his presenting gig with US television show Extra to start a family with Michelle.
With the former TOWIE star permanently out in Los Angeles to present Extra and his wife previously flying all over the globe for Our Girl, it is a credit they have gone to great lengths to keep the spark alive in their marriage.
However, a spokesperson for Mark told the MailOnline the reality star-turn-presenter had no plans to quit his job in the States to have children.
The Daily Star alleged a source told them: 'He is heading home and the next step will be when to start a family.'
In recent months, Mark had discussed his hope to become a dad but he ruled out taking on the responsibility of parenthood anytime soon.
Break: She added: 'I usually always love going somewhere hot on holiday but this time round it is really hard to choose a destination as one of the things I love most is exploring somewhere new'
In August, Mark told the Metro.co.uk: 'All I know is at the moment I want to be a dad, I know my wife wants to be a mum.
'We're not talking about when that's going to be yet. We're not even planning when that could be yet.
'We'd both love to be parents but there's no plans for it whatsoever.'
Michelle previously spoke out about reports of her impending divorce from Mark, confidently telling The Sun: 'There's so much negativity behind the fact that if I work away and Mark's away, it has to be a disaster.'
The soap star added that she was a 'positive person' so she did her best not to 'read into the negativity.'
Maintaining an incredibly busy schedule, the pair have spent much of their married life apart due to their working commitments on opposite sides of the world.
Mark bagged a television corresponding role with the gossip site Extra, and relocated to the States for the job in 2017.
Meanwhile Michelle flitted between England and South Africa to film BBC drama Our Girl.
While the Tina and Bobby star has noted that the source of the break-up rumours stem from both of them working in different country's for months on end, she revealed news that he was just asked to another year back as host on Extra TV.
Admitting that 'he hasn't signed yet', Michelle enthused: 'It's always been something that we will talk about. I'm just really proud of him.'
Back in blighty: The pair were spotted in Cheshire in August 2018, amid a break in their hectic schedules

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
