A top CBS executive has been placed on leave following reports he made sexual and homophobic comments in the workplace.
Several current and former employees accused CBS Television Studios senior vice president Vincent 'Vinnie' Favale of making the inappropriate remarks during important meetings and at rehearsals with celebrity guests.
Many employees said they believe Favale retaliated against them when they took their complaints to human resources.
One female former executive told CNN in a bombshell report published on Wednesday that Favale allegedly made sexual comments about Oscar-winner Jennifer Hudson while he watched her rehearse for an appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert in December 2015.

One CBS employee told CBS that Favale allegedly said he got four erections watching Jennifer Hudson, pictured at a A Musical Celebration For Quincy Jones in 2018, while watching her rehearse
'I'll never forget the day he told me he got four erections while watching Jennifer Hudson rehearse,' she said.
Multiple employees, some who no longer work for the company, told CNN they either heard Favale make the remark about Hudson or heard about it from other people. Two people said a CBS standards and practices representative was present when Favale allegedly made the remark.
During another incident described to CNN, Favale allegedly used a sexual innuendo during a department show meeting for the Late Show around 2015. The employee said their was loud drilling outside and Favale compared the noise to a black man having sex.
'There was a big drill, and we looked outside and went to the window. (Favale) compared the drill to "a big black d***" as it was drilling into the ground,' the former employee recalled. 'I couldn't believe he said that.'
The worker said when she complained to her boss about the comment and other remarks Favale had allegedly made she faced retaliation. She told CNN Favale blocked her out of 'important' and 'necessary' meetings.
The employee said she eventually left her role at the company, telling CNN that Favale was a contributing factor.
Another CBS employee said she also complained and Favale allegedly stopped talking to her for long periods of time.
Others said he called Hugh Jackman 'gay' and said his marriage to Deborra-lee Furness as 'fake'
Some employees said Favale would make comments about female guests' appearances and said they needed to find 'younger feminists who were hot' instead of women's rights activist Gloria Steinem (pictured at the 2016 Creative Arts Emmy Awards)
'Our roles required that we interact ... he shut me out of meetings. I went back to HR and complained, but I was told it wasn't happening and had been addressed with him,' she said.
Favale was also accused of using homophobic language and commenting on female guests' appearances.
'He would frequently call Stephen (Colbert) gay because of his seeming inability to interview women well," a former executive told CNN. 'He would say this in rehearsals, the control room. Sometimes the CBS attorney would even be present, which to me is just shocking that nothing was done.'
A current CBS employee said Favale 'bashed' actor Hugh Jackman during a 2017 appearance to promote his movie Logan. The employee alleged that Favale called Jackman, who is straight, 'gay' and said he was 'in the closet'. The worker also said Favale referred to Jackman's marriage to Deborra-lee Furness as 'fake'.
'It was so offensive,' the employee said. 'I really couldn't believe it. I mean, this is an executive talking so openly like this ... it's mind blowing.'
Others said Favale referred to MSNBC anchor Rachel Maddow as an 'ugly man' and urged producers to find 'hotter' women to book.
'When we wanted to book (women's rights activist Gloria Steinem), he said that instead we should find younger feminists who were hot,' the employee said.
Favale denied the allegations saying his comments were taken out of context
According to CNN, following at least one complaint in April 2017 Favale was promoted from the network's east coast late-night executive to his current role.
'After you realize that that's the kind of thinking and logic that advances one's career at CBS, as a woman, you are left with one choice,' a current CBS employee told CNN. 'Are you a person who raises questions and calls that person out and has your employment jeopardized, or someone who just says nothing? Or do you become a good-time girl who laughs along with him and hopes that becoming a cool girl that gets it will help you advance? Those are not choices that someone should have to make in the workplace.'
Another employee said they don't think HR took complains seriously because it wasn't physical.
'It wasn't groping, so he got away with it,' the employee said.
A CBS spokesperson said in a statement on Wednesday that Favale was placed on administrative leave.
Favale issued the following statement: 'Allegations that I have ever retaliated against anyone in any fashion are 100% false. I have spent my entire career working at comedy shows, where there has always been a wide latitude to make transgressive jokes while preparing the program. While we make a lot of jokes, these jokes attributed to me, whether said in rehearsals or production meetings, are being taken out of context and were not said in the way being presented here.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
