As a former Bachelorette, Georgia Love knows all the inside secrets of reality TV.
And on Thursday, she addressed the age-old question about dating shows: Why do people sign up if they're not looking for love?
The 30-year-old newsreader claimed it wasn't necessarily a bad thing to have some people who 'aren't there for the right reasons'.
Insider knowledge: Former Bachelorette Georgia Love (pictured) has revealed this week why dating show producers deliberately choose contestants who AREN'T looking for love
In a column for TV Week Up Close, Georgia explained that she didn't go into The Bachelorette expecting every contestant to be genuine in their intentions.
'You'd have to be silly to [not realise] that, out of 18 blokes who willingly chose to go on a reality TV show, some had intentions other than being my boyfriend,' she wrote.
'There were, at the very least, three guys on my series who I don't think realised the idea of the show was that someone would end up with me. I'm almost certain two of them didn't know my name'.
Variety is the spice of life! In a column for TV Week Up Close on Thursday, Georgia explained that having 'villains' like Keira Maguire (pictured) and David Witko are part of the reason why shows like The Bachelor and Bachelorette are so popular

She went on to claim that having 'villains' like Keira Maguire and David Witko are part of the reason why shows like The Bachelor and Bachelorette are so popular.
'Each season, we see more people go in with apparent ulterior motives and come out with teeth-whitening deals,' she wrote. 'But is this really a bad thing?'
Georgia added that it is important for a series to include a mixture of 'class clowns', 'mean girls' and people with honest intentions to keep fans interested.

She further explained that the real love story typically only begins later in the series, once the lesser contenders are sent home.
However, she conceded that 'viewers don't want to see 15-plus episodes of just that' and it's important to have 'drama', 'catfights' and 'tears' to spice things up.
Georgia met her now-boyfriend Lee Elliott on The Bachelorette in 2016 and they celebrated their two-year anniversary in August.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
