«Breaking News» Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber are the ultimate amicable exes as they attend exclusive soiree in NYC

It's been more than two years since they shocked fans with the announcement that their seemingly sold romance had come to an end.

And Naomi Watts, 50, and Liev Schreiber, 51, showed they've remained friendly exes, when they attended the Take Home A Nude auction and party at Sotheby's in New York City on Tuesday night.

The screen stars — who share two sons — appeared to be in high spirits as they laughed and chatted with one another while sitting among a host of well-heeled guests at the event, held to benefit the New York Academy of Art.

Oscar-winning actress Naomi stepped out in style for the event, wearing a dark blue floral co-ord, which she teamed with a low neckline black top.

With her golden locks resting about her shoulders in soft waves, she highlighted her natural beauty with a rich palette of makeup that included bold red lipstick. 

A female friend sat between Naomi and Liev, who cut a dapper figure in a dark suit and a black tie, but the pair merrily leaned in to jovially chat.

Liev, who was with Naomi for 11 years before the couple announced their split, spoke with Willie Geist on the TODAY show about their relationship post-split.

'It’s always hard, you know? You build a life with someone and things change,' he said. 'And I think the way that we’ve looked at it is that we’ll always be partners with these kids.' 

'It’s important to support each other,' he added. 'I was making some jokes at breakfast about Mommy with the boys and their eyes light up when I talk about her. You can see how important it is to them that their parents care about each other.'

Moving on: Since the split, Naomi has been linked to her Gypsy co-star Billy Crudup, while Liev has been dating 26-year-old Taylor Neisen

The exes are the parents of sons Sasha, 11, and Samuel, nine, and have been regularly seen enjoying family time with their offspring since their split. 

Since the former couple's split, Naomi has moved on with Billy Crudup, her co-star on the short-lived Netflix series Gypsy. 

The duo were first outed as a couple in July 2017, and have been together for over a year. Liev, meanwhile, has been dating 26-year-old Taylor Neisen.

The former Miss South Dakota has already met his boys, and even went on vacation with them to Costa Rica in February of last year.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
