The Duchess of Sussex rejoined her husband Prince Harry for a busy afternoon of royal tour engagements after taking the morning off to rest.

Pregnant Meghan, 37, chose to skip a scheduled appearance at an Invictus Games cycling race in Sydney this morning, with Harry, 34, telling competitors that she was 'resting at home [as] being pregnant takes its toll'.

A few hours later the duchess appeared to have regained her energy as she arrived by car to join her husband for a lunch hosted by the Australian Prime Minister at the city's trendy Pavilion Restaurant.

The couple, who are expecting their first child together in Spring 2019, later wrapped up in Invictus Games branded waterproof jackets as they headed out into Sydney Harbour to take in the action at a sailing event.

And ever the thrifty royal, Meghan ensured she made the most of her travel wardrobe, recycling the black turtleneck jumper she had worn as she arrived at Sydney Airport via a Qantas flight on Monday morning.

The pregnant duchess teamed it with the £140 (AUD$199, USD$141) black jeans she wore on Wednesday, as she Harry for an Invictus Games lunch with the Australian Prime Minister in Sydney.

Accessorising the look, Meghan opted for a £160 (AUD$295, USD$210) striped cross-body bag by Orton, which she first wore at a Commonwealth event in London in April, along with her famous pinstripe Altuzarra dress at the time.

The designer appear to be a favourite for Meghan, and she has been seen wearing on a number of occasions, including during her engagement photocall last December, where she opted for a nude pair by the designer.

Injecting a splash of colour, Meghan then updated the all-black look with the only new piece to the ensemble, a £510 (AUD$935, USD$550) pinstriped linen and cotton-blend blazer by Californian brand L'Agence

While at the lunch, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle met with children being supported by the Kookaburra Kids Foundation.

Prince Harry was pictured laughing, as he was gifted with a pair of very small swimming briefs during a meeting with veteran athletes in Sydney.

After the official reception held at the Pavilion restaurant in The Domain, the couple are set to board a family and friends boat in Farm Cove to watch the Invictus Games sailing final.

The day will end with a private function at Government House to celebrate the Invictus Foundation.

It was announced on Sunday that Meghan's schedule was being cut to help her pregnancy.

Harry told some Invictus competitors his wife was 'resting back at home, being pregnant takes its toll'.

When the trip was planned, staff did not know that the Duchess was pregnant so had to revaluate the programme to take account of her condition.

'The Duke will attend the cycling as scheduled this morning, and the Duchess will join him for this afternoon's engagements,' Kensington Palace told MailOnline on Sunday morning.

'The Duke will continue with the engagements on Fraser Island as planned.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
