«Breaking News» Ricki-Lee Coulter says her new song is a 'passive aggressive' dig at the 'trolls' and 'idiots'

She first rose to fame on the second season of Australian Idol. 

And Ricki-Lee Coulter has continued to follow her music dreams, dropping her new new single Unbothered last week.

The 32-year-old has revealed that the song takes aim at 'trolls' and 'idiots' and contains two F-bombs.

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph the singer says: 'It's a nice feeling to smile at someone while you're saying something awful at them, that passive aggressive approach'. 

The New Zealand-born beauty adds that the track is about 'taking the high road' and ignoring negativity aimed at her.

'I don't sweat the small stuff, I don't let idiots ruin my day, I don't dwell on s**t I can't control,' she says.

The feisty brunette adds: 'I used to care so much more about what people think about me and say about me but I honestly just don't care anymore'. 

It comes after the singer opened up to her fans during a live Twitter Q&A session.  

And while she is proud of her latest single, Ricki-Lee admitted there is one song she is not so mad about.

Fans asked the star what her biggest musical regret has been in her 13-year career.

'Biggest musical regret Letting my label release Don't Miss You....I hated that song, and still hate that song,' she wrote in response.        

Ricki-Lee also got to meet one of her heroes this week, taking to Instagram to share a photo in which she's posing beside English singer and X Factor winner Calum Scott. 

She captioned the snap: 'Got to hang out with this cutie after he slayed Brisbane the other night! WHAT A VOICE & also a sensational human!'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
