A long-standing grudge has been revealed as the reason spin bowling legend Shane Warne dismissed an offer to be part of Channel Seven's cricket coverage this summer.
The former spin king turned commentator opened up on his former employer Channel Nine losing the cricket broadcast rights battle to Fox Sports and Channel Seven in his new tell-all autobiography No Spin, which was publicly released on Thursday.
He has never forgiven Channel Seven after they put two children in wheelchairs in front of the cameras and said the Shane Warne Foundation wouldn't help them several years ago.

It followed allegations that just 16 cents out of every dollar raised by the foundation went to their charities with the rest spent on staging glitzy celebrity events, paying Warne's parents' rent and employing his brother Jason in an executive position within the foundation.
Warne said the Channel Seven incident 'really got to me'.
'No, Seven and me were not friends,' he wrote in his book, according to news.com.au.
'I felt sorry for those children but what Channel 7 did was unforgivable and misleading. That is just the lowest act.'
The 2015 allegations about the foundation led to an investigation by consumer watchdog Consumer Affairs Victoria before the foundation ceased in early 2016.
A statement posted to Warne's Facebook page at the time said the constant criticism of the foundation had caused mounting frustration in recent months, adding: 'It's not fair and it hurts'.
Warne, 49, revealed he received offers from all three networks before he made the switch from Nine to be part of Fox Sports' coverage alongside former Australian Test teammates Adam Gilchrist, Mark Waugh, Allan Border, Brendon Julian and Mike Hussey.
'It's important we make Australians love and trust the game again,' Warne told Fox Sports when he signed a six-year deal in May.
'When people turn on the cricket the fans want to be proud of the team.'

Warne wrote in his book that both new homes of cricket had 'big shoes to fill' and believed there was 'no way' Nine would have lost its long standing rights to the cricket if former chief executive David Gyngell was still in charge.
'The fact that the rights have gone elsewhere tells us a great deal about how both television and the commercial side of cricket administration have changed, not necessarily for the better,' he wrote.
Warne contemplated staying with Nine to work on other projects which included the Australian summer of tennis and Masters Golf before signing with Fox Sports in May, which will officially launch its cricket coverage in Sydney next week.
'I'd never have left Nine but cricket is in my blood and I love commentating so much that there was no option ... Kerry would understand, I'm sure of that,' Warne wrote.
Warne also opened up in his book on his relationship with former fiancee Liz Hurley, claiming his time with the British actress were the 'happiest years of my life'.

The couple bought a home together but failed to make it to their wedding day, with Hurley calling quits on the engagement in 2013.
'There was no single, clear reason why our relationship ended,' Warne wrote.
'I was more in love with her than I'd ever realised I could be.'
He also added fuel to his long running feud with former Test captain Steve Waugh, which was sparked after Warne was left out of the fourrh Test against the West Indies in 1999.
'Steve Waugh was the most selfish player I ever played with and was only worried about averaging 50,' Warne wrote.
'It was about a lack of loyalty. Pretty childish, I know, but that's the way it was.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
