«Breaking News» Shots fired at a west Sydney hosptial after a 'man pulls a knife on police officers'

A person has been shot during an altercation at a major hospital in Sydney's west.

The shooting happened at Nepean Hospital in Kingswood after a man pulled out a knife as he was walking into the emergency department.

He was shot by officers attempting to disarm him.

A New South Wales Ambulance spokesman said crews were called to the hospital about 4pm after a person was shot. 

Hospital staff at the scene are treating the injured person, who is understood to have a gunshot wound to the abdomen.

There are no other reports of anyone else being injured at this stage, the NSW Ambulance spokesman said.

The hospital is in lockdown and surrounding streets have been closed. 

Patients have been crammed into small rooms while the emergency situation unfolds.

A witness at the hospital said police are 'everywhere' and telling people to 'move and run'. 

Ambulances are being redirected from the hospital, 9News reported. 

Streets surrounding the hospital are also in lockdown, with residents unable to return home.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
