A senior administrator at Catholic University of America has been suspended for a tweet criticizing an accuser of Judge Brett Kavanaugh.

Will Rainford, the dean of the university’s National Catholic School of Social Service, was suspended by the president, John Garvey, for ‘demonstrating a lack of sensitivity to the victim.’

Rainford apologized on Thursday and deleted his social media accounts after igniting outrage for suggesting that a woman who accused Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct should herself be prosecuted.

Julie Swetnick was the third woman to accuse Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct.

She alleges in a sworn statement released last week by her lawyer, Michael Avenatti, that she witnessed Kavanaugh ‘consistently engage in excessive drinking and inappropriate contact of a sexual nature with women in the early 1980s.’

In the statement, which was provided to the Senate Judiciary Committee, Swetnick said she had been sexually assaulted at a party attended by members of Kavanaugh's social circle, but did not accuse him of assaulting her.

Two other women have publicly accused Kavanaugh of sexually abusing them.

On his official Twitter account, Rainford posted a message calling into question Swetnick’s claims.

‘Swetnick is 55 y/o,’ Rainford posted on his official Twitter account last Wednesday.

‘Kavanaugh is 52 y/o. Since when do senior girls hang with freshmen boys?

‘If it happened when Kavanaugh was a senior, Swetnick was an adult drinking with&by her admission, having sex with underage boys.

‘In another universe, he would be victim & she the perp!’

Another tweet by Rainford read: ‘Riddle me this. Why would the accuser of Kavanaugh take a polygraph, paid for by someone else and administered by private investigator in early August, if she wanted to remain anonymous and had no intention of reporting the alleged assault?’

The second tweet referred to Kavanaugh’s first accuser, Christine Blasey Ford, who says that Kavanaugh tried to rape her when she was 15 years old and he was 17.

The tweets prompted scores of graduates of the School of Social Service to write letters to the university’s president, provost, and board of trustees urging them to demand Rainford’s resignation, according to The Washington Post.

On Friday, Catholic University’s president released a statement calling Rainford’s comments on social media 'unacceptable.'

'Rainford has led the National Catholic Social of Social Service since 2013,' the statement read.

'It is my desire that he continue to lead the school.

'But in light of these recent actions I have suspended him as dean for the remainder of this semester.

'Rainford understands and accepts this decision.'

Rainford apologized to the provost and sent a letter to the School of Social Work which read: 'My tweet suggested that [Swetnick] was not the victim of sexual assault.

'I offer no excuse. It was impulsive and thoughtless and I apologize.'

Rainford said he believes that 'victims who suffer assault and abuse need to be heard, respected, and provided treatment and justice.'

He said the angry responses to his social media posts made him reconsider his words.

'I am aware that many of you are angry, frustrated, and hurt,' he wrote.

'For this I am truly sorry.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
