«Breaking News» Terrifying truth of your brain when you eat high fat or sugar breakfasts for just FOUR days

It's long been lauded as the most important meal of the day.

And now the value of breakfast is back on the menu, with new research showing the potentially terrifying effects of an unhealthy breakfast.

One study conducted at Macquarie University in Sydney, found that eating a high-fat and high-sugar breakfast for just four days could lead to significant brain changes.

More specifically these changes could result in learning and memory deficits similar to those seen in overweight and obese people - regardless of a person's weight.

Perhaps the most startling aspect of the trend was a relationship between weight and cognitive performance in learning and memory tasks.

One Oxford University study found that otherwise healthy adults who ate a high-fat diet for just five days also displayed impaired attention and memory function compared to those who ate low fat meals.

As the body weights between the participants weren't a factor in which group they were placed in, their reactions showed the negative consequences of a poor diet, regardless of size.

Although the exact reason for the changes are unknown, according to Dominic Tran a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Sydney, it could be due to  possible changes to blood glucose levels from the foods' contents.

'Fluctuations in blood glucose levels may impair glucose metabolism and insulin signalling in the brain,' he wrote in The Conversation

Though only representing the reactions of those involved, interestingly the study showed how weight may not be the best measure of physical health.

This also came into play as it hadn't changed significantly in the small window of study.

Currently more than 60 per cent of Australians are overweight or obese - a harrowing statistic often associated with many of the country's chronic health battles.

However, as has been the trend for more than the last decade, heart disease remains Australia's biggest killer and was responsible for 30 per cent of deaths in 2016.

Often closely associated with the obesity epidemic, other risk factors are high cholesterol and high blood pressure - which can strike regardless of weight.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
