«Breaking News» British daredevil becomes the first person to scale the tallest climbing wall in the UK

This is the nail-biting moment a British daredevil becomes the fist person to free climb the UK's tallest climbing wall without any safety gear.

George King, 18, climbed 118ft in Brighouse, West Yorkshire- where the country's tallest wall stands.

The adrenaline junkie started his ascent at 4.30am after breaking into the site by using a rubber boat on a nearby canal to avoid being detected by security cameras.

Before starting his ascent, George King held up an inspirational quote on a piece of paper by talk show host Oprah Winfrey.

It read: 'If you don't know what your passion is, realise that one reason for your existence on Earth is to find it.

Footage filmed on a drone captured the adrenaline junkie approach the wall and began making his ascent.

Mr King takes just ten minutes to accomplish the incredible feat and he confidently reaches the top where he throws his arm up in triumph.

The climber heard about the new climbing wall a year ago when he saw it on the morning news.

He said: 'I threw my half-eaten breakfast away and ran to the climbing gym to begin training desperately so that I could become the first in the world to free-climb the wall.

Commenting on his climb George said: 'There was zero fear on my behalf. I had to keep in my mind that if I displayed physical elements of fear it could result in shaking and reduction of concentration, the consequence being that I could fall to my death.

The daredevil has been free-climbing since he was 10 years old.

Founder of the charity 'Powers of Passions,' George said: 'This was a very personal mission of mine. This was a childhood vision, a dream, and a journey.

'When I was 10 years old I started free climbing, constantly challenging myself, putting myself out of my comfort zone to achieve feats where other 10-year-olds would not dare to go.

'Amongst doing so at that age I had a dream to climb UK's tallest climbing wall without any ropes or harness.

'In the process of working towards this dream, I overcome many mental barriers and endured the hardest most brutal forms of training so that I know I am physically ready for the challenge.

'The video shown is a product of years of mental and physical training, I am delighted to say that I made my dream a reality.

'Climbing is my passion and I find a tremendous amount of purpose from doing it.

'But I don't encourage anyone to do what I do - everyone is unique.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
