«Breaking News» Taco Bell will debut a dedicated VEGETARIAN menu this year

Vegetarians may be feeling a bit faint this week — but not for a lack of protein.

Rather, it's good news that will have non-meat-eaters feeling giddy: Taco Bell has announced that it will be testing its first-ever dedicated vegetarian menu in stores this year.

The fast food chain has long been a favorite of vegans and vegetarians since it offers so many meat-free ingredients, but this will be the first time stores will have a separate menu detailing the veggie options.

Taco Bell announced in a press release that one of its commitments for US restaurants in the coming year is to 'be even easier and better for vegetarians and flexitarians.'

A flexitarian, or a semi-vegetarian, is someone who eats a predominantly plant-based with the occasional inclusion of meat.

'Later this year, Taco Bell will be testing its first, dedicated vegetarian menu in stores, as well as new featured vegetarian items to enjoy,' said the brand.

'As the only American Vegetarian Association-certified QSR, Taco Bell has more than 8 million vegetarian combinations, and there are plenty of gratifying meatless options from which to choose as well — enough to customize a new meal every day for nearly 20,000 years.'

That is to say, Taco Bell is already vegetarian-friendly. The chain has 38 American Vegetarian Association-certified ingredients, which can be mixed and combined to create eight million certified-vegetarian orders.

Their AVA-certified menu options include the Breakfast Soft Taco Without Bacon, Veggie Power Menu Bowl, Veggie Power Menu Burrito, Cheese Quesadilla, Bean Burrito, Black Bean Burrito, 7-Layer Burrito, Cheesy Roll-Up, Pintos 'n Cheese, Black Beans and Rice, Spicy Tostada, and Cheesy Bean and Rice Burrito. 

There are also quite a few meatless items that aren't certified due to potential cross contact with meat products.

These include the Hash Browns, Cinnabon Delights, Mini Skillet Bowl, Breakfast Crunchwrap California Without Bacon, Cheesy Fiesta Potatoes, Spicy Potato Soft Taco, Triple Layer Nachos, Fiesta Taco Salad Without Meat, Cinnamon Twists, and Chips with Nacho Cheese Sauce, Pico de Gallo, or Guacamole.

Now this new vegetarian menu would make it even easier to find these options — as will the new vegetarian options they plan to introduce.  

The chain already has the stamp of approval from many vegetarians and organizations associated with vegetarianism.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
