'You realise there are things that are no longer available to you. Doors have closed and you don’t realise that until you’re there…'

However, Hermione also admitted there is something quite lovely about being at this stage in her life.

She said: 'There is also a sense of real liberation and freedom. The maps are laid down and there is a sense of satisfaction and joy.

I appreciate the sense of security as a woman. It’s more of an internal journey and I find the peace of that hugely liberating.

'It’s a fantastic time moving beyond 50. It where it’s at, for me. I have looked forward and grown into myself.'

Hermione has been married to British screenwriter and TV producer Simon Wheeler, since 2002 and they have two children together, Wilf, 13, and Hero, 11.

And the actress, who lives in London, believes that being practical and not passionate is the secret to a happy marriage.

'There are people you have mad passionate affairs with and people who you marry,' she said.

'Marriage is finding somebody who you can raise a family with, grow old with and who you want to come home to. It sounds a bit of a passion killer, but it’s true!

'It’s hard raising a family so you need someone who you can trust to do it with.'

Hermione said she feels much more confident wearing a man's suit and she can feel 'quite vulnerable' in a dress.

She said: 'I’m not really a dress person. I would rather wear a really slick trouser suit. I think women’s suits look really sexy. There’s something feminine about it.

'I like men’s clothes really. Ellen DeGeneres always has beautiful clothes. Whenever I go shopping I go to the men’s department and think, "I want that," – beautiful suits, beautiful brogues.

'I think you need more confidence to wear a dress. I often feel silly in a dress. Quite vulnerable.'

The blonde also spoke about her role on Cold Feet alongside James Nesbitt and Fay Ripley.

She said: 'It’s always nice when we’re together as a group; that dynamic of being with the gang.

'Cold Feet’s success is a measure of where people who have loved it have been in their own lives.

'They go on a journey with us. When they’re watching us, they’re remembering where they were 22 years ago.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
