«Breaking News» Guardiola may face charge and fine for discussing referee before derby

Pep Guardiola could be facing an FA charge and subsequent fine for talking about referee Anthony Taylor in the build-up to Sunday's Manchester derby.

The Manchester City boss referenced Taylor during a pre-match press conference ahead of the win over Manchester United. Managers are not allowed to discuss officials before a match.

The FA are seeking Guardiola's observations about the matter and he has until 6pm on Thursday to respond.

Jose Mourinho was fined £50,000 for misconduct following comments made about Taylor prior to United's goalless draw against Liverpool at Anfield in October 2016.

FA bosses were also left demanding answers from Mourinho following last year's acrimonious Manchester derby after he spoke about Michael Oliver in a pre-match press conference.

That they have asked Guardiola for an explanation falls into line with previous disciplinary proceedings against Mourinho.

Guardiola said of Taylor, who is from Wythenshawe: 'He is going to try to do the best job like we try to as managers and football players.

'Mr Taylor is going to try to have a good game. The important thing is to focus on our game and, of course, knowing which opponent we are going to face and that is all.

'Hopefully he can make good decisions for both sides and it will a good game. All England and all Europe is going to watch us.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
