«Breaking News» Sir Cliff Richard reveals he is terrified of being pictured around youngsters

Sir Cliff Richard has revealed he tries to avoid being photographed with children for fear of being wrongly labelled a paedophile.

The pop legend said the televised police raid on his home following false accusations he molested a teenage boy has tarnished his reputation forever.

Sir Cliff was accused of molesting a 15-year-old boy at a 1985 rally in Sheffield held by US evangelist Billy Graham. 

The 78-year-old said: 'They have given me something I can never ever be free of. Ever!

'I do not have any hint of that kind of activity in my background — none at all. If I was a paedophile there's no way I could hide it for 60 years. It's impossible.'

The devout Christian opened up about the ordeal during the filming of ITV's Sir Cliff Richard, 60 Years in Public and Private.

His long-time friend Gloria Hunniford, who stood by him during his privacy case against the BBC earlier this year, said he told her: 'I will never put my arms around young people again when I'm having photographs taken.' 

The alleged victim told South Yorkshire Police, which lead to the televised raid on Sir Cliff's £2.5million home in Sunningdale, Berks, in 2014

He watched the search of his house unfold while he was on holiday in Portugal.

He revealed he does not walk between Centre Court and Court One at Wimbledon anymore because 'that tunnel is right by the ball boys' dressing room and I can't bring myself to be anywhere like that on my own'.

Sir Cliff, who sold more than 250 million albums worldwide, added: 'I thought I was going to die, supposing I had a heart attack. I had shingles and I didn't sleep more than an average of two hours a night.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
