«Breaking News» Tim Hortons debuts snowball-shaped white donuts

The festive season is about to get a lot sweeter - and a lot messier - thanks to Tim Hortons, which has debuted a special snowball-shaped white donut to celebrate the start of the Christmas month.

Snowbits, as they are so aptly named, are an enlarged version of the Canadian coffee chain's beloved Timbits - small round donut holes that come in a variety of flavors.

Covered in white powdered sugar, the Snowbits, which are three times bigger than the original Timbits, are designed to look just like snowballs - and Tim Hortons is happily encouraging customers to use them as such.

In a release about the festive launch, customers are encouraged to 'use Snowbits like snowballs to engage in a friendly Snowbit fight' or to 'build a Snowbit snowman' using the powdered sugar pastries.

If wintry games aren't your cup of tea however, the chain notes that the Snowbits can also be 'enjoyed with a holiday beverage'.

But anyone hoping to lay their hands on a Snowbit - or perhaps to launch them in the direction of a friend or family member - will have to act fast.

The Snowbits are only available in stores on December 1, and will only be given to the first 12 customers who mention them to staff at select US locations

News of the launch was met with serious excitement from the chain's Instagram fans, with people commenting on images of the Snowbits to share their positive feedback on the tasty treats.

'Ohhhhh yesssss please!' one person wrote, while another piped up: 'Omg cute!'

'We are celebrating the return of the holidays and thanking our guests this holiday season by giving away free Snowbits at select stores on December 1,' Shawn Thompson, President Tim Hortons US, said of the launch.

'We encourage guests to get into the holiday spirit by sharing a Snowbit with a friend alongside a holiday beverage in our festive winter-themed cups.'

Although the Snowbits are a new launch for Tim Hortons, this is not the first time the the coffee chain has taken advantage of a holiday in order to jazz up their Timbits.

In May 2017, customers were offered the chance to order a special Timbits Donut Bouquet for Mother's Day; the arrangement was made up of 24 donut holes that were all stuck onto the end of wooden skewers and then tied together with a pretty ribbon.

The sweet treats even came complete with an elegant presentation box in order to ensure that any mothers lucky enough to receive them felt extra special.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
