«Breaking News» Catherine Oxenberg tells DailyMailTV her dreams were 'ripped away' after wildfire incinerates home

Dynasty star Catherine Oxenberg's resiliency is unmatched after suffering an endless string of recent tragedies.

The statuesque 57-year-old opened up to DailyMailTV about her most recent heartbreak - losing her 'dream property' in the Malibu wildfires just days after moving in with her daughters.

The actress thought she was starting a new chapter in her life when she moved into the picturesque estate earlier this month with her 27-year-old daughter, India, who recently escaped from the NXIVM sex cult.

'I've always dreamed of having sort of a compound of multiple structures on a property,' she told DailyMailTV's Caitlyn Becker.

The soft spoken mother of three said that part of what drew her to the home was the bountiful space for her family and even room for some animals.

There were 'paddocks for horses,' she said with wistful remembrance. 'I'd already bought the chickens.

'This was a dream property,' Catherine continued, 'and it's just gone in a flash.'

Neither the 13 chickens nor the home would survive the Woolsey fire that decimated parts of Malibu, including several celebrity homes.

'It's a piece of charred wreckage that looks like the apocalypse,' she admitted.

The UK raised beauty is now refocusing the mission of her charitable works through the Catherine Oxenberg Foundation to make sure that the money donated to recovery efforts reach those who need it most.

The stunning home was purchased by the star earlier this year and she had spent months renovating the 1950s style property.

Just six days after she and her three daughters officially moved in to the home, they were evacuated. The whole property, save for two trees, was razed to the ground by flames.

Catherine said she had only been back once and not one of her possessions was spared.

'It's just Armageddon,' she said.

'I've lost a lot of valuable things that I inherited but it's those things that are irreplaceable, that have sentimental value ... that I think are so devastating.'

The star and her family left with one suitcase, having no inclination that the fire would get close enough to be a danger to the property.

'Everything from family photos to kid's memorabilia, kid's paintings,' was lost.

The space represented more than just four walls and a roof to Catherine, it was a chance to rebuild after a sex cult ripped her eldest daughter from her for seven years.

'Finally, I'm home,' Catherine recalled thinking when she first saw the property.

Adding: 'We all had aspirations about what this house represented, which was a new beginning.'

'I do feel like all of those dreams have been ripped away.'

In August, Catherine revealed that her daughter India had finally been reunited with her family seven years after joining the controversial sex cult NXIVM.

India had joined the controversial group led by Keith Raniere and his right-hand woman, Smallville actress Allison Mack, after Catherine and she participated in a NXIVM motivational course.

Her daughter became immersed with the cult and eventually moved to the group's headquarters where she lived for seven years.

Oxenberg had spent 18 months trying to bring down NXIVM in a bid to get her daughter away from the organization, which has been accused of branding female members and using them as sex slaves.

'This is the hardest thing I've ever gone through in my life,' Oxenberg said of recovering from the fire.

'The only way I know how to dig myself out of this hole is really to focus on "okay, yes I've suffered, horribly, but people have suffered worse than me than me and how can I help them."'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
