Alan Carr has revealed he has given up alcohol to support his husband who hit the bottle while the comedian was on tour.
The Chatty Man presenter, 42, known for offering his guests a drink or two on his Channel 4 talk show, has also given up sugar and fatty foods.
The star went teetotal in June to help his husband, Paul Drayton, and joked on stage: ‘He’s been sober for 161 days. I haven’t had a drink during this time either… or a smile’, reported the Mirror.

In 2016, the star admitted that his husband had ‘a few issues with alcohol’ while Alan was away from home, with the presenter confessing that he ‘neglected his personal life’.
He recalled: ‘I used to love going to M&S at the station and getting a G&T or a Pina Colada for the journey.’
The TV personality wed his partner of 10 years in an idyllic ceremony in Los Angeles in front of just four guests in January, before enjoying a relaxing honeymoon in Mexico.

Back in 2016, the couple were on holiday in Indonesia when Paul popped the question.
Alan thought he had had a dental accident while chowing down on his dessert - only to reveal his beau had hidden an engagement ring in the pudding.
His best pal Adele officiated the wedding ceremony, and he later revealed during an appearance on This Morning in April that she also paid for the entire wedding.
Alan recently revealed that he role plays asTOWIE star, Gemma Collins, 37, in order to spice things up in the bedroom with his husband.
In an interview with The Mirror, the funnyman, 42, admitted: 'Me and my husband Paul have been together 10 years – in gay years that's around 200 and almost unheard of.

'Posh and Becks have been together almost double that time – imagine how bored of each other me Paul will be by then? But we add a bit of spice and freshen things up with role play.
'Obviously I dress as Gemma Collins in bed. And we often like to pretend to be Elton John and David Furnish – the Poundland version.'
Last year, Alan wore not one but two outfits inspired by Gemma for comedic effect as he went to Jonathan Ross' Halloween party wearing a dress she was trolled for on Instagram.
He then recreated Gemma's epic fall dressed in a mesh swimsuit during his hilarious Love Island sketch in his two-hour New Year Specstacular.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
