Ivanka Trump traveled to North Carolina on Wednesday to tour the NASCAR Technical Institute in Mooresville and visit parts of the region that are recovering from Hurricane Florence.
The 36-year-old first daughter opted for a business casual look, sporting a $2,595 khaki Michael Kors trench coat over a white button-down shirt and black cropped pants for the meet-and-greet with NASCAR drivers and Hurricane Florence responders.
Ivanka, who has been an advocate for workforce development during her father's time in the White House, visited the NASCAR Technical Institute to learn more about the school's skills training programs.

All ears: The 36-year-old was there to learn about the technical school's skills training programs
The White House senior adviser took to Instagram Stories in the morning to reveal how excited she was to meet the institute's 'future technicians, engineers, and mechanics.'
Upon her arrival, Ivanka struck a pose with NASCAR driver Austin Dillon and team owner Richard Childress.
Her long blonde hair was straightened and loose around her shoulders, and she had a big smile on her face.
She shared plenty of photos throughout the trip, including pictures of herself meeting students and participating in a roundtable discussion.
Ivanka is known for being hands-on during her visits, and her trip to Mooresville was no exception.

Towards the end of her visit, she was seen signing a wall that was covered in names.
Ivanka's next stop was the Mooresville Fire Department, where she met with members of the search-and-rescue team.
When Hurricane Florence hit the state earlier this month, the team conducted rescue missions in eastern North Carolina.
While sharing a photo of herself shaking hands with one of the responders, she wrote: 'Honored to meet firefighters at the Mooresville Fire Station who have worked tirelessly as first responders to help all those affected by Hurricane Florence.'
Ivanka's stepmother, First Lady Melania Trump, was harshly criticized when she wore high heels to visit Hurricane Harvey flood zones in Texas last year, and it looks like the first daughter kept that in mind when choosing her outfit.

Instead of her usual pumps, Ivanka opted to wear a pair of black patent leather Mary Jane flats that complemented her outfit.
However, she did add a fashion-forward touch to her ensemble when she used a patterned silk scarf to cinch the waist of her trench coat.
Ivanka is also slated to visit a disaster recovery zone in the eastern part of the state later in the day.
Earlier this week, Ivanka modeled a 1940s-inspired look, complete with a demure fascinator, while celebrating the Jewish holiday of Shemini Atzeret with her three children.

Taking full advantage of the unusually warm fall weather on Monday, the first daughter walked to the American Friends of Lubavitch synagogue as her children, Arabella, seven, Joseph, four, and Theodore, two, happily rode alongside her on their scooters.
Secret Service agents kept a watchful eye as Ivanka guided her excited children down sidewalks and across streets by herself, while her husband, Jared Kushner, was noticeably absent from the family outing thanks to his duties at the White House.
The mother-of-three looked as though she had walked straight out of another decade in a pale green $2,281 Alessandra Rich dress, which featured a rose print, black buttons, and a peplum top that gave the illusion she was wearing a two-piece skirt suit.
The family was photographed near their home, which is located in the upscale Kalorama neighborhood of Washington, D.C.

Ivanka converted to Judaism in 2009 to marry Jared, an Orthodox Jew, and they are raising their three children Orthodox as well.
Although work is prohibited on the holiday, Jared, 37, was seen leaving his home with a briefcase in his hand on 7 a.m. on Monday morning.
Later in the day, he attended a news conference held by his father-in-law, President Donald Trump, in the White House Rose Garden.
The president acknowledged Jared as well as U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer while speaking about the new United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), which is set to replace the North America Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).
The U.S., Canada and Mexico have been negotiating the terms of a revised NAFTA for more than a year. The Trump administration announced a deal had been reached late Sunday night.
While in North Carolina on Wednesday, Ivanka responded to White House Correspondent Mark Knoller's tweet about U.S. Trade Representative thanking Jared for helping to negotiate the new trade deal.
'Proud of you, Jared! #USMCA,' she tweeted.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
