President Donald Trump renewed his attacks on Senator Richard Blumenthal on Monday, after the Connecticut Democrat helped introduce a bill to ensure special counsel Robert Mueller's Russia investigation is released to the public.
The president mockingly referred to Blumenthal as ‘Da Nang Dick’ as he questioned his position on the Senate Judiciary Committee after the Democrat lied about his military record in the Vietnam War.
‘How does Da Nang Dick (Blumenthal) serve on the Senate Judiciary Committee when he defrauded the American people about his so called War Hero status in Vietnam, only to later admit, with tears pouring down his face, that he was never in Vietnam. An embarrassment to our Country,’ Trump wrote.

Blumenthal, who was elected to the Senate in 2010, regularly referenced his supposed Vietnam service in the 2000s as he served as Connecticut attorney general.
The Senator reportedly said he 'served during the Vietnam era’ when speaking at a Vietnam War memorial in 2008.
However he was never deployed to Vietnam, having served in the US Marine Corps Reserve, and later confessed that he had ‘misspoken about my service, and I regret that and I take full responsibility’.
He also questioned his position on the Senate Judiciary Committee after the Democrat lied about his military record in the Vietnam War
Earlier in the day, Blumenthal, along with fellow Senate Judiciary Committee member Sen. Chuck Grassley, introduced legislation to ensure work by any special counsel appointed by the Justice Department, including Mueller, would be available to both Congress and the public.
The legislation would also require a report within two weeks if a special counsel is fired, resigned, or gets transferred.
‘A Special Counsel is appointed only in very rare serious circumstances involving grave violations of public trust. The public has a right and need to know the facts of such betrayals of public trust,’ Blumenthal said in a statement.
Mueller’s report, which Trump has repeatedly branded a ‘witch hunt’, is investigating any possible collusion between the president and Russia during his 2016 campaign.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
