«Breaking News» Rob Lowe lip-syncs theme song from 80s hit movie St. Elmo's Fire on set of his new UK cop drama

He's currently filming Wild Bill, a new cop drama for ITV, in England.

But on Thursday, Rob Lowe took time to remind his fans of one of his older roles, as the 54-year-old American actor lip-synced the theme song from his 1985 hit film St. Elmo's Fire.

Former Billboard number one hit song St. Elmo's Fire (Man in Motion) was by English singer John Parr.

In the videos, shared to The West Wing star's Instagram Stories, Rob is dressed as a Chief Constable as he belts out the 80s hit while sitting in a car.

Lowe starred in the Joel Schumacher-directed drama St. Elmo's Fire alongside Demi Moore, Emilio Estevez and Judd Nelson.

The 1985 film grossed $37million against a budget of $10million.  

John Parr's theme song spent two weeks atop the Billboard chart and peaked at number six in the UK.

The 80s heartthrob is currently filming Wild Bill in Boston, Lincolnshire.

According to Yahoo! Entertainment, Lowe plays 'Wild' Bill Hixon in the show, 'a top level US cop with a tragic past who moves to the UK with his 14-year-old daughter to become chief constable of East Lincolnshire.'

Rob stars alongside former Coronation Street actress Angela Griffin.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
