Hollywood woke to the news of the highly-anticipated Oscar nominations.
And Bradley Cooper was 'grateful' for the Academy's recognition of his film A Star Is Born as the list of nods for the 91st Academy Awards was released on Tuesday morning.
While Cooper sang the praises of his cast and crew, Rami Malek celebrated his 'once in a lifetime moment' for his Best Actor nomination and Glenn Close declared her pride for her role on The Wife receiving a Best Actress nod.

'Everyone who worked on this film truly risked putting themselves out there—in the hope that in doing so people will connect and feel something deep and personal—the way films have made me feel since I was a kid,' he told E! News.
'When I got this opportunity I knew I had to risk it all because I may never get another chance—so to be here today in a place where people who have seen the film are talking about how it makes them feel, something deep—that simple human thing—that we need each other—and the Academy to recognize that this morning—I just am so grateful.'
Rami Malek was also ecstatic upon hearing his nomination, telling Entertainment Weekly that the opportunity was 'once in a lifetime.'
'It's just something you never expect to happen,' he said. 'It's like a distant dream that actors have and hope for to some degree. But it's never really felt in the realm of possibilities — it's a pretty joyous occasion to say the least.'

Close told Hoda Ktob, Maria Shriver and Jenna Bush Hager that her seventh nomination 'really does feel different.'
'I feel such good will from everyone who saw the film and from the industry itself. I'm thrilled to be in this time in my life and this time in my career, to be invited into this incredibly special room. It feels amazing,' she continued.

The period movie - which tells the story of the relationship between two cousins vying for the approval of Queen Anne - is joined on 10 nominations by Roma, the black-and-white epic from Netflix.
Sam Rockwell felt 'honored' by the Academy for his Best Supporting Actor nomination, according to US Weekly.
'Hot damn!' Rockwell said to the publication. 'I am so truly honored to be recognized by the Academy again this year. Vice is such a special and important film to be a part of and I'm thrilled for Adam McKay, Christian Bale, Amy Adams and Hank Corwin, as well as all of the cast and crew.'
Meanwhile, Marvel's 'Black Panther' made history, becoming the first comic book movie to earn a Best Picture nomination.

The much-discussed blockbuster has also earned nominations for Best Costume Design, Production Design, Sound Editing, Sound Mixing, Original Score and Original song.
Lupita Nyong'o was elated with the news and shared a photo of the cast hugging.

In the Best Director category, the absence of Cooper cleared the way for Pawel Pawlikowski in Cold War, who is competing against Spike Lee for BlacKkKlansman , Yorgos Lanthimos for The Favourite, Adam McKay for Vice and Cuaron for Roma, who has dominated the awards circuit this year.
The coveted golden statues will be handed out on Sunday, Feb. 24 at the Dolby Theatre at the Hollywood & Highland Center in Los Angeles.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
