Bodyguard's Richard Madden paid a touching tribute to co-star Keeley Hawes at the National Television Awards on Tuesday night, as he scooped the coveted prize for Best Drama Performance.
The Scottish actor branded his job a privilege after left speechless by the prize, which came after the record-breaking BBC miniseries also scooped the award for Best New Drama.
This also came as Richard teased that a second series of Bodyguard was already in the works, as he told Digital Spy showrunner Jed Mercurio was 'in talks' for a follow-up.

Winning the award, Richard beat out Jodie Whittaker, Jodie Comer, Michelle Keegan and Cillian Murphy for the prize and was greeted by a deafening reception from the crowd.
Paying a touching tribute to the show's cast and crew, Richard gushed that it had been a 'privilege' to work as an actor, while also paying tribute to co-star Keeley, who played Home Secretary Julia Montague.
Finally beginning his speech he said: 'Thank you very very much, what an honour I didn't expect thank you to every single person that voted.'
'Big huge thank you to my team, it's a privilege everyday, Jed Mercurio for writing this incredible character. And the biggest thank you to Keeley Hawes I couldn't ask for a better more talented actress.'

Bodyguard of course ended with many viewers hoping it would return for a second series, but so far little has been confirmed.
However once backstage, Richard told Digital Spy that there had been discussions for him to reprise his role as Sergeant David Budd.
He said: 'I don't know... we're talking about it. [It's] all in Jed Mercurio's brilliant mind. So it's up to him what happens next. I can't wait to read it. Nothing's confirmed yet. We're just in talks.'
This wasn't the only win for Bodyguard as its cast attended the lavish awards event, as the show also scooped Best New Drama.
Big surprise: Once backstage, Richard remained coy to Digital Spy about whether Bodyguard would be coming back for a second series
Well done! He was presented the award by veteran actor Danny DeVito, who also earned a thunderous reception from the audience and viewers watching on social media
Of course showrunner Jed Mercurio's next big work is the much-anticipated fifth series of Line Of Duty, which is expected to air later this year.
This is only the latest win for Richard after earning much critical praise for his performance in the modern-day political thriller, as he won a Golden Globe earlier this month for Best Actor in a Drama Series.
The star has also been at the centre of endless rumours that he could be taking over from Daniel Craig as the next James Bond.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
