The Office and other popular NBC shows may be pulled off Netflix as the television network prepares to launch a rival service.
NBCUniversal could cut the comedy show along with the likes of Parks and Recreation, The Good Place and The West Wing in order to increase the chances of success for their unnamed service coming in 2020.
It was revealed Monday as Chief Executive Officer Steve Burke spoke in an interview about their plans for the upcoming offer that will be free to viewers who already pay to watch their programs and movies but funded by advertising.

The Office reportedly has 7.2 percent of Netflix show views making it their most popular
'We believe that the best way to gain scale quickly is to leverage our partnership with cable and satellite companies and to offer our premium product free to consumers,' Wall Street Journal reports Burke said.
But with the licensing agreement expiring in 2021, fans have a while to adjust.
Globally, NBC's customers are estimated at 52 million people via Comcast Cable and Europe's Sky service which Comcast acquired.

Other services that air NBC offerings in the United States such as Charter Communications Inc. and Cox Communications Inc will be able to share the video streaming service with their customers at no extra cost too, the WSJ reports an insider said.
The publication added that even those who don't subscribe to cable will have the opportunity to take advantage of the new service at a price comparable to Netflix, estimated to be more than $10.
It came after the online streaming service announced it would bump costs by 13 to 18 percent depending on the plan. The website's most standard and most popular package will cost $12.99 moving forward, compared to today's price of $10.99.
It infuriated social media users as it was revealed the changes will roll out over the next few months.

NBC's Parks and Recreation is the third most popular show with 2.3 percent of the share of total episode views

According to Jumpshot.com data shared with Business Insider, The Office (US) outdoes Friends in popularity as far as shows on Netflix go.
NBC's Parks and Recreation is the third most popular show with 2.3 percent of the share of total episode views whereas the top two programs obtain 7.2 percent and 4.2 percent of views respectively.
The New York Times reports that Netflix pays $100million to keep Friends on the service so there's a chance they may strike a deal with Bonnie Hammer, chairman of NBC Cable Entertainment, who has been named chairman of direct-to-consumer and digital enterprises for NBCUniversal.
However Netflix said in 2018 that 85 percent of their budget went towards originals.

The West Wing is also viewed by NBC's customers which are estimated at 52 million people via Comcast Cable and Europe's Sky service

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
