«Breaking News» Ice-cool car thieves steal SUV within seconds after driver leaves it unlocked while defrosting

A father who left his car unlocked while defrosting it was shocked to discover it stolen after re-emerging from his house. 

Shock CCTV, taken last week in Bolton, shows the whole sorry incident unfold - with the father, Mark, now desperately appealing for help in tracing the vehicle. 

It starts with Mark - who has recently adopted twins - clearing away snow from the front of his car so he can take his youngsters to nursery.

He then moves across to the driver's side to check the car before making his way up the drive and into his home. 

But within just a few seconds the vehicle is targeted by opportunistic thieves - as another vehicle pulls up alongside car.

One of the crooks hops out of the vehicle, jumping straight into the open car and speeding off down to road.   

Mark took to Twitter soon after the incident in a desperate bid to track down those responsible, saying: 'Guess who didn’t lock his car properly this morning after defrosting it.

'If anyone sees a Dacia Logan in Blue please report its location to the police. My insurance isn’t going to pay for this.'

He also warned other motorists not to make the same mistake, saying: 'Don't leave the car to warm up in the morning. It doesn’t tend to lock properly with a key in the ignition. Learn from my mistake folks.'

Fortunately for Mark, his sister set up a Just Giving page to raise funds for her brother and his partner - and it has reached around £1,500. 

She wrote on the page: 'I'm sure most of us have been guilty of defrosting the car, making it warm, popping back into the house to collect the kids to go to nursery.

'Have you ever come back out and the car is gone? It happened to my brother in under a minute. The insurance won't pay a penny. 

'My brother and his partner are hard working people who have just adopted twins. This would mean the world to this family.

'By supporting this and donating you're showing that this world isn't full of [people like those] that stole this family's car.'  

The RAC has previously warned against people leaving their cars to defrost - and has instead encouraged them to use anti-freeze and scrapers to be on the safe side.

And noted that insurance companies are more than likely to refuse to pay out if your car is stolen while it is defrosting.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
