«Breaking News» Breakaway German far-right party adopts old Nazi cornflower symbol as part of its emblem

A former member of the far-right German AfD party has adopted a symbol used by Nazi groups during the 1930s as an emblem for his new political movement.

André Poggenburg, who founded the AdP this year after resigning from the AfD, has announced that his new party logo will feature a blue cornflower against a German flag background.

The cornflower was used as a secret symbol to denote membership of banned National Socialist parties in 1930s Austria before they came to power in 1938.

The flower has a complicated history and was originally known as German Kaiser Wilhelm's favourite flower.

But amid a rise in German nationalism following the First World War, it came to be adopted by Nazi groups.

Poggenburg is a former businessman who ran for the AfD in the 2016 elections in Saxony-Anhalt, where the party garnered 24.2 per cent of the vote.

He was the regional leader for the party before he resigned because of what he called a 'shift to the left' as the AfD sought to become more popular.

Branding Turkish people 'camel drivers' and immigrants a 'homeless mob we no longer want', he said the AfD' 'isn't really my political home any longer'.

In January this year he founded the AdP, which stands for Aufbruch der deutschen Patrioten, or Awakening of German Patriots.

According to The Guardian, he plans to debut the party at the regional elections in eastern Germany this autumn.

Poggenburg's political manoeuvring comes amid a surge of support for right-wing, anti-migrant parties across Europe.

The AfD, described by political rivals as neo-Nazi, is now the third-largest in Germany and holds 94 seats in the Bundestag.

Meanwhile Hungary's Vikor Orban has touted the idea of joining forces with Poland's Andrzej Duda to form an anti-migrant bloc in the east.

Amid that backdrop, Europe's premiere globalist Angela Merkel has announced plans to stand down in 2021 with heir-apparent Emmanuel Macron facing plummeting poll numbers and pressure from populist Yellow Vest protesters.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
