The Mooch lasted just 10 days as White House director of communications, but he’ll try to hold out longer inside the Big Brother house.
The CBS network announced on Sunday that Anthony Scaramucci will be one of the contestants in the second season of Big Brother: Celebrity Edition.
The Mooch will compete in the reality television show where a group of people live in a house where every room is fitted with cameras that capture their every move.
At the end of each episode, the house occupants vote to evict one of their peers.
Whoever is the last to stand walks away with a grand prize of $250,000.
The CBS network announced on Sunday that Anthony Scaramucci (seen right with his wife, Deidre Ball, at the Golden Globe Awards last week in Beverly Hills) will be one of the contestants in the second season of Big Brother: Celebrity Edition

Book coming too? The 55-year-old 'Mooch' followed in the footsteps of former White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman (pictured), who made it 26 days in the house and dished about President Donald Trump during season one
The season will begin with a two-episode special airing back-to-back nights on The Tiffany Network on Monday, January 21, and Tuesday, January 22, CBS announced.
The Mooch is the second former Trump administration official to enter the Big Brother house.
During the first season of the celebrity edition of the show, Omarosa Manigault, the former head of communications for the White House Office of Public Liaison, was a contestant.
Manigault nearly won the grand prize after making it to the final three houseguests. She was evicted on the 26th and final day.
The Mooch became a national celebrity in his own right after he was unexpectedly hired by President Donald Trump to head the White House comms shop in July 2017.
But Scaramucci was fired when John Kelly took over for Reince Priebus as White House Chief of Staff just 10 days after he was hired.
He left after a tumultuous week-and-a-half, the highlight of which was a foul-mouthed interview he gave to the New Yorker in which he spoke in harsh terms about Priebus and another ex-White House adviser, Steve Bannon.
The Mooch’s brief tenure at the White House gave him celebrity status which he has used to his benefit.
The Mooch will compete against Kato Kaelin, whose claim to fame is renting a room at O.J. Simpson's house in the period leading up to the infamous murder of Simpson's ex-wife and a friend in 1994
Another contestant in the Big Brother house will be Ryan Lochte, the Olympic champion swimmer
Since leaving the White House, the Long Island native wrote a book titled Trump, the Blue-Collar President.
He also launched an online media venture, Scaramucci Post. He has also made regular appearances on the popular podcast Pardon My Take.
Earlier this year, Scaramucci promoted an off-Broadway cabaret show inspired by Trump and his family - the 1st Annual Trump Family Special.
He also tried to launch a television talk show, The Mooch’s Table, but the idea died after no network was willing to air the program.
Last week, The Mooch was seen rubbing elbows with celebrities on the red carpet during the Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles.
During Big Brother: Celebrity Edition, he will join other celebrities including O.J. Simpson’s former houseguest, Kato Kaelin; former Miami Dolphins star Ricky Williams; Mean Girls actor Jonathan Bennett; Braxton Family Values star Tamar Braxton; Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss; comedian and former MTV personality Tom Green; U.S. Olympian Lolo Jones; former Blossom star Joey Lawrence; Lindsay Lohan’s mother, Dina Lohan; WWE star Natalie Eva Marie; and Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte.
The show will be hosted by Julie Chen Moonves, the wife of disgraced former CBS executive Les Moonves.
Les Moonves, 69, resigned from CBS in early September after a number of women came forward with allegations of sexual misconduct.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
