Sir Tom Jones has spoken of his guilt over his wife’s death and the haunting possibility that he could have saved her by sending her to a doctor sooner.
The legendary singer says he is ‘partly to blame’ for Linda’s death from lung cancer in 2016 because, if he had acted earlier, doctors could have caught the illness when it was at a more treatable stage.
Sir Tom, 78, said that when he sings the couple’s favourite song, Bob Dylan’s What Good Am I?, the lyrics make him think hard about how he could have saved her.

Married for 59 years: Sir Tom Jones with his wife Linda in 1967. He has spoken of his guilt over his wife’s death
He told The Mail on Sunday: ‘The song is about someone who turns their back and someone who is not seeing what is really happening. It started to mean more. It’s like, “Why couldn’t I have stopped it?”
‘I was reading into the lyrics thinking, “Jesus Christ, was I partly to blame? Should I have woken up before?” I thought, “What could I have done?”
‘I couldn’t really have done anything because by the time we found out it was too late, so there’s not a lot you can do. But then you start to think, “What if I had forced her to go to the doctors?” Because she didn’t go. You think, “S***, maybe I should have said she had to.” ’
Sir Tom, who stars as a coach on ITV’s The Voice, which began a new series last night, revealed that singing the Dylan song – along with therapy – helped him cope with his grief at losing Linda, his wife of 59 years.

‘I got some of my musicians together and that was the first step,’ he said. ‘Singing has really helped me. Time is a healer.’
He added: ‘Another thing about growing old that I don’t particularly like is that you lose friends. But the great thing about going on and doing something you love to do is that you start to make new friends.’
Sir Tom, who moved to the UK last year because he found it too hard living in the couple’s Los Angeles home, says that despite widening his circle of friends, he doesn’t think he will find love again.
Link hienalouca.com Interesting to note Looking for an investor or sponsor for a project to grow dinosaurs and relict plants. Requires the sum of investments from 400000$ to 900000$. The exact amount can not say because there are many nuances. It will be necessary to build a small laboratory with certain parameters. To all interested persons please write on an email angocman@gmail.com . It is the scientific project and I do not know whether it is possible to earn on it. The probability of success of the project is approximately 60%. That will be very interesting.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
