Louise has been rehearsing for the show's run over the past few weeks, with the opening night set for the end of January.

The musical - which is based on the film of the same name, from 1980 - has been devised by Dolly Parton, who is expected to be in attendance on opening night at The Savoy Theatre.

A source close to Louise told The Sun: 'She went to hospital and had stitches. Then doctors told her she needs time out and can’t do the show.

'She is obviously completely devastated because this is a dream role for her. It doesn’t seem fair.'

Louise - who shot to fame as part of girl group Eternal in the 1990s - was set to play the role of Violet Newstead, the character made famous by Lily Tomlin in the movie.

Her doctor is said to have ordered the actress to take two months off, meaning she won't feature in the original run of the show.

The production is hopeful Louise will pick up where she left the role in March.

They have released a statement on the matter: 'The recovery time recommended means Louise is no longer able to properly rehearse the show in the remaining time left before opening.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
