«Breaking News» Kate's Middleton glittering tribute to Diana at the V&A in Dundee

The Duchess of Cambridge wore Princess Diana's earrings on her outing in Dundee yesterday.

Kate, 37, looked elegant in the diamond and sapphire clusters, which she has been seen in on a number of previous occasions.

The earrings - a single Saudi Arabian sapphire surrounded by ten round diamonds — were among Diana's favourites.

Kate wore the jewels with a tartan Alexander McQueen coat and a green scarf as she joined husband Prince William to open the new outpost of the V&A Museum on Tuesday.

The earrings were part of one of Diana's most famous collections of jewels given as a wedding gift by Crown Prince Fahd.

Known as 'The Saudi Suite', it contained a sapphire watch, earrings, bracelet, ring and necklace.

Diana, who famously loved sapphires, wore the entire set to a Brisbane state reception in 1983, but also experimented with each item separately.

The earrings contained detachable sapphire drops, which Diana removed before wearing the resultant chunky studs, each surrounded by ten round diamonds, to mark Harry's birth in 1984.

However Diana was also seen in a smaller pair of diamond and sapphire earrings, which some believe were fashioned from the stones on the strap of the watch.

The earrings became part of Diana's bequest to her sons. Shortly after their engagement in 2010, Prince William gave them to Kate.

The Duchess of Sussex has also worn pieces from Princess Diana's jewellery collection on a number of occasions, including a striking gold bangle which she sported on an evening engagement to the Royal Albert Hall, London, this month.

She wore Diana's delicate butterfly earrings on the day after announcing her pregnancy in Australia in October last year.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
