Game of Thrones actress Laura Pradelska has revealed she was forced to disable the comments on her Instagram account after receiving a barrage of anti-Semitic abuse.
The star, who returns to the stage for the second run of A Small House at the Edge of the World from February 5th, admits she has been subjected to a series of racist messages on social media due to her Jewish heritage.
The abuse has since prompted her to disable comments while paying tribute to her great-grandmother, who was liberated from Auschwitz following the end of World War II across Europe in 1945.

'You would be amazed at some of the comments I get,' she told Radio 5 Live's Emma Barnett.
'I must say that I have disabled my comments on my Instagram, simply because my skin wasn’t thick enough to take it.'
Admitting much of the abuse relates to the Nazi Holocaust and her Jewish roots, she said: 'It does and it’s mostly to do with Israel and it’s completely uncalled for because I tend to post pretty pictures, or pictures of rehearsal or of work that I do.
'I am outspoken, and I do work with organisations. That doesn’t mean I necessarily have to have a political opinion, and I’m not really equipped to go into major discussions.'

She added: 'With regard to Twitter, Twitter has a great way of letting me know when comments get very abusive so I have a choice whether to see them or not and whether to comment or not.
'Yes, I do get abuse. Absolutely. It’s strange. It’s usually also from people that hide behind some sort of strange name.'
On Monday morning the actress paid tribute to paternal great-grandmother Klara Stern on Instagram by sharing a photo of a burning candle, but ensured all comments were disabled before publishing.
Captioning the post, she wrote: 'In loving memory of my Omi, Klara Pradelski (geb Stern) liberated from Auschwitz-Birkenau in 1945. #holocaustmemorial #NeverAgain.'

Klara spent time in a forced-labour factory prior to the outbreak of War before discovering her son, who was just seven-months old, and her parents had been murdered by the Nazis.
She was later sent to Auschwitz-Birkenau in German occupied Poland, where an estimated 1.1 million people of predominantly Jewish descent were executed between 1940 and 1945.
Surviving the death camp following the liberation of Europe, Klara discovered only eight of 120 family members had lived to see the fall of Hitler.
Laura's maternal grandmother also survived the holocaust by managing to obtain Aryan papers due to having blonde hair and blue-eyes.
More than six million European Jews were murdered during World War II - roughly two-thirds of the Jewish population in Europe at that time.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
